We're watching the sunset. Letting the wind touch our skin. Listening to the sound of waves as it brings us calm and peace.
Really, after everything that happened she'll ask me that? Not that I haven't moved on. I'm sounding a bit defensive here, huh?
"Good as ever." I sighed not even bothering to look at her.
"Oh, I'm happy for you." She replied, I can feel that she's smiling.
"Di mo sure, Sam." I chuckled a bit.
She sighed.
"You okay?" I looked at her out of concern.
Yes, concern. Hindi ko na siya mahal. Hindi na. Why am I even explaining this? Hindi na nga kasi.
"Oo naman." She smiled but that didn't reach her eyes.
What the. Why am I affected. I've moved on na nga sabi eh.
"You want a hug? You don't look okay eh." I initiated the hug without waiting for her answer.
I knew to myself she needed this. No. I actually needed this hug.
"Ewan ko sayo, Ly. You haven't change even a bit." She cried on my shoulders.
"What's wrong, Sam? Tell me, sizzy mo pa rin naman ako. But if you can't, its okay I'll be here." I comforted her while caressing her back.
"I'm sorry."
"Tapos na yun, Sam. Naka-move on na ako." I assured her.
"But I didn't.." She looked at me, I can feel the pain in her eyes.
"Can we talk about this some other time? We promised that we will enjoy this vacation, right?" I diverted the topic.
"But you knew we needed to settle things right away. Ly, are you trying to escape me again?" Her voice crack.
"It's getting dark already. Let's go back to the hotel." I said coldly and started to walk away
