'Sh, sh, stop screaming!' the boy tried to calm me down. I still could'nt believe it was him.

'What, what are you doing here? How do you know about his accident?' I stuttered; shaking in the cold air.

His big blue eyes begin to tear up; sparkling in the Sun's rays. He runs his hands through his quiff; trying to hide his tears.

'I wanted to surprise him. I knew he'd be at the races, with you. I spotted you both, in the crowd, so I began to walk towards you. Then you ran in front of the horse, and everything else was just a blur. I picked you up as you stood screaming at JJ's body.' Tears were now running down his cheeks. I felt so sorry for him; I'd never wanted JJ's best friend to have to see him like that.

'Josh, I'm sorry.' It was Josh; from Union J. I wrap my arms around his cold body; stunned by how fast everything had escalated. I'd remembered everything in the space of a second before JJ had saved my life; every single memory. I was now hugging Josh, from Union J whilst JJ lay in a critical condition. This was crazy. His arms wrapped around mine too; hugging me tightly. His arms around me were a reminder of the accident; those were the same arms which had pulled me away from the horrific scene; but I was thankful that he did.

We stand there for a few minutes, until a doctor clears his throat to get our attention; startling us both.

'Hello, JJ's girlfriend? Friend?' the doctor asks us.

'Yes. How is he?'

The doctor smiles uneasily; causing a fear to shoot through my body.

'He is now in a stable condition, but there is a swell; on his brain. He must go for an operation. We have called his family, and they are on their way. The operation will take up to 6 hours, so I advise you both to go home; get some rest or gather some of his belongings.'

He smiles again before running back inside the hospital.

'Look, we better go to your house, get some of your stuff first. Then we can have a proper talk.' Josh says, pointing me towards his car. We both run towards it; eager to get out of the bitter air and grab JJ's belongings. He opens the door for me and I quickly climb in out of the cold. He climbs in the other side and begins to drive out of the hospital.

I sit there in shock. A swell on the brain; the exact injury I had sustained two years ago. What if JJ wakes up, and doesn't remember me, or Josh, or the rest of the boys? What if he wakes up and has forgotten the entire X Factor journey, and his band? What if he wakes up and has forgotten that I had ever forgotten, or forgets that I'm his girlfriend? What if...What if JJ does'nt wake up?

Sorry this was such a short chapter but I had to update. The next update will be tomorrow; I have a good plan for chapter 11 too! Tweet me feedback @ImagineUJ x
