I wonder what would have happened if we never met?

"Hey there! You are Suzuya Rei, right?"

What if I never asked him that? The things would have been different, isn't it?

What if at that time I would have actually served CCG rather than following my dreams? Would I have been happy?

"Jeez... Who's that guy? Killing like a monster?", Lizzie asked.

"I don't know. Maybe he's one of those heartless CCG investigators. Anyways, let's go from here.", Kiyoko said.

Things would have been somewhat like this, isn't it?

"Investigator  Azumaya, why are you even here? You are so much scared to even kill a young ghoul? You are just a failure.", associate special class investigator Suzuya rudely said.

"I'm sorry sir... I'm still not used to all these bloods...", second class investigator Kiyoko said.

Or maybe like this?

"Miss, your purse. It fell down.", Hanbee handed it to Lizzie.

"Ah... Thanks! My purse actually contains few important things, if it went missing then it would have been really problematic. Thanks again!!", Lizzie said with a smile.

"No problem. Take care~"

"Yeah! You too~ Bye~"

This would be possible too...

"Thanks for the beautiful flowers, Ms. Lizzie~", Juuzou said with a warming smile.

"Welcome Investigator Suzuya!! Have a nice day and you too Investigator Abara!!", Lizzie greeted them.

"Bye~", Juuzou and Hanbee said in unison.

"Bye~ Come again~". When the investigators were exiting from the flower shop, investigator Kiyoko was there too but she somehow managed to not come in their eyes, "Hey Kiyoko, your seniors were here just now... You should have at least said a 'hi!'...", Lizzie said.

"No thanks. Today is my free day and I don't wanna see their faces, especially the face of investigator Suzuya!"

"Why not? He's such a gentle man!"

"Say less... If there's something worse than ghouls then that's Suzuya! You know what? I have heard that he used to kill animals when he was in CCG academy and in his past he has killed so many humans too!! I heard that he was also linked with a very dangerous ghoul... I don't understand how he ended up with CCG!!"

"He doesn't looks like-"

"Oh please! Behind that cute girlish face, he is a total bastard and a deadly monster!! I literally hate him for who he is!!", said Kiyoko with disgust all over her face.

We're standing here now because so many... Just SO MANY things happened to line up. So, I just wonder... If EVEN ONE thing was missing, would the world have turned out different?

"Hey~ Sugarcube~ Come back to reality! What are you thinking about so much?", Juuzou asked.

"Oh... Sorry, I was just spacing out...", Kiyoko said.

"Are you ok...?"

"Yeah!"

"Cool~", Juuzou gently wrapped his fingers around hers and they walked inside a doll store, "Now let's buy the cutest doll for our princess Eve!!"

It makes me so happy just to see you around... Can we call this fate? Shall I thank all the things because the universe brought us together? This feels so unreal yet it's the reality. It's not like that world could never have come to be, but...You are here beside me, everyone is here. Right now, every people I have in my life... I'm blessed to have them! You, Lizzie, Hanbee, their daughter; Eve and all my friends that keeps supporting me...

I thank the whole universe for pushing me towards you. I thank the universe for bringing all of us together. Life will consist of many ups and downs but I know we can fight against every odds and enjoy all the goods together!

I thank the world for pushing me towards the place I always wanted to be.
