Dylan's POV
I headed into the New York hospital, guitar in hand. The halls were white, little pictures, probably drawn by the kids here, were hung up randomly, some of them done very well, others, well, they tried. They were all very cute though. I went to the room I was told to go to, the clicking of my heels hitting the ground. They forced me to wear a nicer outfit, so I put on a spring-y dress, matched with royal blue heels to match the blue flowers.
I curled my hair again, having it be a more normal style for me now-a-days. My nails were the typical black but what was different was that I was actually wearing my glasses for once and not contacts. I knocked on the door, letting myself in. "Is an Alison Carter in here?" I ask quietly. "Yes." A response comes from inside the room. I walk in, a smile on my face. The girls face lit up, a smile growing on her face. "Oh my god." She mumbles. "Hi Alison." I say, walking up. "I can't believe I'm meeting you." She says, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Hey, don't cry, I'm honestly not that cool." I tell her, sitting on the edge of her bed. I wipe her tears away, giving her a hug. "How are you doing today?" "Pretty good, it's one of my better days." "That's amazing! I'm so glad!" I tell her. She nods. "I've never had one of my wishes come true, they say they'll try and get it, but a lot of the time it's too hard, I didn't think I'd get to meet you." "Well I'm glad I was the one who got to meet you, you seem like a lovely girl."
She beamed up at me, a permanent smile on her face. "Thank you so much for this." She says. "You are very welcome." I tell her, bopping her nose. She looked to be about 12, which broke my heart to know she was dying. "Now, I have very special permission to take you out to lunch to anywhere of your choice, so I'm going to let your nurse get you ready then we will go!" I inform her, standing up. I step out of the room, leaving my guitar in there, telling the nurse to keep it safe.
Alison comes out soon, wheeled out by her nurse. "You won't have a problem pushing her, will you?" The nurse asks. "Not at all, I'd love to." I smile, wheeling her down the hall. "Alright, you get to choose where to go, where would you like to go?" "Ellen's Stardust Diner." She says sheepishly. "It's-" I cut her off, but not meaning to. "Oh my god, I love that place! I can't believe you know what it is!" I say excitedly, pushing her out to the side of the road and getting in the waiting car. The driver puts the wheelchair in the trunk and I get in beside Alison.
"I love the place, I didn't think I'd get to go there again." She admits, looking down at her hands. "Well I am honored to be taking you." I tell her. "This place was the best, my brothers and I would always come down for shakes after school, my mom hated that we did that, especially when I was younger and taking the subway with them, but we loved it!" "It's so cool because you get dinner and a show for such a cheap price and so many famous people eat there." (Cough cough Jake miller you sat AT THE SAME TABLE I DID IM PRETTY SURE. I NEED A MOMENT) "Their burgers are amazing, I haven't been here in so long." I laugh, glancing out the window. We were almost there, I could see it in front of us.
The driver gets the wheelchair and I help her in, wheeling her inside the building. There was a group of guys in front of me, one had his hood up but I could see the bits of pink sticking out. Ones head turned slightly and I saw that it was Calum and I bent down to be level with Alison. "Watch this." I whisper to her.
I snuck up behind them, tugging on each ones hair and tugging Michael's hood off and tugging his hair. They all turned around sharply, glaring at me until they realized who I was. "Dylan!" Luke exclaimed, picking me up in a hug. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "Make-A-Wish thing, a little girl wanted to meet us." Luke gestures to a little girl standing in front of Michael. "No way, so am I." I point to Alison who waved at the guys shyly.
I put our name in and push us over to the side so we were out of the way. "When do you go back?" Luke asks. "Tomorrow, kinda late though so we can hang out if you're staying late." "We go back Tuesday so yeah." He nods, then leaves to go to his table. "You guys are so cute." Alison tells me. "Well thank you." I grin. "Do you think you guys will get married eventually?" "Hopefully, yeah. I may have to be the one to propose this time though but yeah, I'd want to marry him one day." "Awe that's really cute." We are led to our table, right as a girl was beginning to perform let it go.
