Vida's POV Cont'*********
A bookshelf full of old books align the wall to my right, they all looked well over a hundred years old. To my right had shelves covered in children's drawings, children's bird house made from popsicle sticks, a little soap dish misshaped, some photos of children, and handmade items that look like they were made in school.
"Vida maybe we should get out of here." said Red who had been quiet so far.
"Why?"
"The Luna's office."
I gasp startled spinning around from the shelves to the door to see Ares with a very angry look glaring at me.
I don't care if he is mad or not. I put my hand on my hip showing I mean business too. My face showing a stern determination I say, "Why am I not training with the elders?"
If I thought Ares looked mad before I was very wrong. His face was so red it had a purple tint. His black eyes scrunched to a death glare that made my lip tremble a bit. His k-9s elongate with his lips in a snarl.
I was afraid very afraid......
Ares POV********
I was furious, what was she doing in my mom's office? How did she find it? Was she snooping in my office?
"You don't belong in here! Get out!" I spit.
Vida flinches at my harsh words but her resolve doesn't faulter she is determined.
She replies taking a determined step forward, "Why aren't I training with the elders?" she asks with her hand still firmly on her hip. Catching me off guard.
I'm surprised by her sudden determination; I'm so stunned I freeze. When I don't answer right away, she gets flustered because her cheeks turn pink and so do the tips of her ears.
Vida snaps, "You think I'm too much of a little girl to start training, don't you?"
I'm still standing there stunned when she turns her back to me taking my silence as my answer. I'm surprised by her sudden change, normally she ignores me and avoids me. This confrontation is so.... so..... sexy.
"She is speaking to us for the first time in over a month! Don't screw it up! She looks so gorgeous all mad with her firey red hair. The Moon Goddess blessed us, truly blessed us." Jax says panting with excitement.
Vida quickly turns back toward me with, her eyes a blaze of auburn that sent a blaze into my pants.
Her eyes start to water like she is fighting back tears. Is she crying? It felt like I swallowed my heart. Watching her fight back her tears.
"If you make her cry Ares, I won't let you shift until she forgives you!" said Jax in a threatening growl. He has been anxious without Vida during the day, only settling at night when he is sleeping next to her.
"Ares I'm going to start training with the elders. Their knowledge may help us win the war." she said interrupting Jax with her voice trying to sound strong like a Luna would.
"She's right ya know." said Jax with pride.
The coming war has consumed my time and my mind. I have been working a lot of long hours. With the hunters developing new advanced weaponry I have to be prepared. I have to be ready for whatever they have planned. I have to protect not just my pack, but the whole werewolf species.
With the help from our pack doctors, warrior weapons specialist, and technologically advanced omegas we have been developing new weapons of our own. We currently have DNA seeking missiles that track only hunter DNA. They look human with, but their DNA is different.
