MARK POV

"Beep Beep Beep"

The most hate perhaps most annoying sound was heard from the side table beside Mark's bed. Sigh, "five more minutes", Mark murmured after covering himself with the blanket. And after five minutes pass...

"Beep Beep Beep"

"Oh god, why does Monday come so quickly".

After getting into a "lifetime crisis", Mark wiggled his hand from the bed to switch off the alarm. Positioning his body gesture straight in the bed while rubbing his eyes, Mark gets into deep thought while watching the ceiling above his room. His deep thought was interrupted after hearing the familiar ringtone.

"Ring Ring Ring"

"Hello, Ploy."

"Mark, where are you?"

"Have you woke?"

"Did you have your breakfast?"

"How are you coming?"

"Enough time to commute?"

"Wanna I pick you up from the apartment?"

"Don't forget to..."

"Jeezzz Ploy be reasonable. Stop bombarding with so many questions."

"I just woke up. I can reach the office on time don't worry".

I was confident enough that I can commute to the office since I have sufficient time to get ready. I usually wake up 10 minutes before the actual waking time since I have trust issues with myself. Especially with the current imbalance sleeping schedule, I get to doze off quickly.

"Mark don't forget today you have to give some briefing for the new joiner. You should come early as makes some preparations for it."

"Yeah, I know Ploy. I will be there no worries."

"Good. By the way Mark, coffee?"

"Mmm...just grab the usual."

"Okay, got it. Bye."

The call ended.

This is what usually happens daily in Mark's life. But today is quite different from other days because today Mark must enter the office early from the usual clock in timing since a new employee is joining today.

After ending the call with Ploy, I rise from my favourite place, my bed :)

I went to the bathroom to take a shower. I got ready for the day, reviewed a few files, and corrected some calculations from the Excel file while eating my toasted bread for breakfast. After doing all the routine, I locked my apartment and started to walk toward the train station. Thankfully, the train station I usually commute to the office is five minutes walking distance from my apartment, so it is easy for me to commute to work without any hurry.

Here comes, this is my life. Plug in my air pods by playing my favourite songs, inhaling the fresh air and being ready to start my week as a corporate worker.
