Chapter 14

VEE POV

Currently, I'm on my way to KingQueen Construction. I was inside the car while thinking, that this is the day that finally my hard work going to be paid off. This would be my first time meeting a client without Mark. Mark has given me full support to go through this. Eventually, he was so nervous than me.

I have been determined to finish this presentation as soon as possible so that I could spend my time with Mark. He tortured me by not allowing me to kiss or do anything together with him for the entire week. He knows how to tease me every time.

My thoughts were interpreted when Ploy called me.

"Vee, we're here."

As soon as I exit the car, I saw the six feet tall building of KingQueen Construction. The building was the centre of attention in the main city as it was the tallest around there. I was mesmerized by the interior design of the building, especially the receptionist floor. I was thinking to myself that each floor of the building must be the size of our whole office room.

"Vee you sit here with the superior, let me ask the receptionist where we should go." Ploy said

I just nodded while sat in the sitting area and as my eyes linger on the whole floor.

After a few minutes, Ploy returned.

"Vee the meeting held on the 20th floor. Let's go."

"Okay Ploy, I want to go washroom first. Can you bring my backpack to the meeting room? Thanks."

"Okay Vee, be quick everyone is waiting there."

"Yeah, okay I'll be there."

I rise from the sitting area and quickly went to the washroom to make the last amendment to my looks. Adjusting the tie and hair, I left the washroom and went to the lift to go to the meeting room.

As soon as the lift door opens, I was greeted by a young man.

"Good morning and welcome to KingQueen Construction. I'm Joey, assistant of the CEO." As soon as he finished introducing himself, we shook our hands.

"Come this way Mr Vee, the directors and CEO are waiting for you."

I was feeling edgy as soon as entered the meeting room when seeing the room filled with gentlemen with suits and high-class looks. Usually, my number of clients is just counting fingers but today I was not expecting this much of an audience that would gather here to watch my presentation. I was trying to hide my nervousness for the sake of my professionalism.

"Mr Vee, I'm happy to meet you. " A middle-aged man in his fifty's shakes his hand while patting my shoulder.

"I have reviewed your profile. I can say I'm very impressed with the way you handle your clients. Even I get to know that your father is a famous local businessman. I guess you know me, right?"

"Of course, I do, Mr Bruce, the CEO of KingQueen Construction," I said while shaking back my hand with a smile.

"Well, I can see the enthusiasm, Mr Vee. Today's meeting we have gathered all the branches directors from the international countries."

"I think we should start the presentation without any delay and later we can talk more after the meeting ends."

"Sure sir. Let me set up my device before starting the meeting."

"Yeah, sure Mr Vee take your time." He said while returning to his table.

While I turn back walking in Ploy's direction as she was setting up the device for the meeting, I notice Ploy looking tense as her eye were on the laptop.
