MARK POV

It's Sunday in the morning, I and Vee already prepared to leave Khon Kaen as our next destination is Vee's parent's house. My mom already made breakfast along packed our lunch as it was going to take time to reach Vee's house.

"Next time bring Vee here and stays longer. One day is not enough to stay here. You should show around this place to Vee next time when you come here."

"Aunty you don't have to worry even Mark is not willing to come, I will drag him too here," Vee said while keeping our bags inside the car boot.

I know one day was not enough for us to stay here, but we already plan to visit our both parents this weekend.

"Mom, please take care of yourself, and eat your medicine properly. Anything just gives me a call." I said while hugging my mother.

"Mark, I'm surrounded by so many neighbours, they already taking care of me. So, don't worry. Just focus on your work."

"And you don't worry about anything, I can sense that Vee's parents going to accept you. Just be yourself there. Okay?" She said while patting my back.

"Mark all set, it's better if we move now," Vee said while shutting the car boot.

"Then mom, we will be leaving now."

"Take care of each other, don't forget to eat the lunch that I packed for you guys."

"Vee, please take care of Mark." She said while hugging Vee and me at the same time.

"I will aunty, don't worry about Mark, I will take care of him. We will come to visit you again during our holidays." Vee said while hugging back my mother.

We leave the house after waving goodbye to my mother. It always gives me this down and worried feelings whenever I left my mother alone knowing she has some medical condition. There are still some people around our neighbourhood who keep an eye on my mom and take care of her, but still, I can't rely on them all day.

While handling these feelings, I was suppressed by another stress as today I'm going to meet Vee's parents. Since the day we talked about meeting our parents, Vee assures me that his family going to accept our relationship, but I have other reasons why I get worried about this.

Knowing Vee's background, he came from a decent family and financially settled family. As for me, I'm just a middle-class man earning a minimum salary, without having my own house or car. I mean, I'm okay with what I have right now, but I don't know how they going to accept my lifestyle. For sure their expectation must be high.

Throughout the journey, there were so many questions running on my mind, and because of that I was not even talking to Vee properly. Vee eventually didn't ask me much because he knows how I feel. He just held my hand to make me feel better.

At last, we already reached the main entrance of the house. From the entrance, I can see Vee's house is eye-catching since his house is big compared to other neighbourhoods. I can see there are a few well-branded cars parked in the driveway.

"Mark, are you okay?" Vee was asking while unbuckling his seatbelt.

"Ahhh...yea...yeah Vee, I'm okay. It's just I get distracted by looking at the cars here."

"Let's get inside." He said while adjusting my hair since I was looking a mess after getting dozed off while travelling.

As soon as I left the car, I get startled when Vee tangled my hand with his and started to walk towards the main entrance door.
