Chapter 16

MARK POV

As soon as I open my eyelid, I quickly took my phone from the nightstand. The time showing at eight in the morning. I got up from the bed and make myself sit on the bed while rubbing my eyes.

A few seconds ago I get remembered what happened the last night as Vee had not allowed me to stay at the house and ask me to get out from the house that we created so much of memories, and the last thing, I remember was somebody calling my name before I collapse.

After hitting reality, I realized that I'm not in the usual place I used to sleep. The bedroom that I'm currently in is wide and the sunlight that came through from the room window is reflect the whole room which makes the room look aesthetic. I have never seen such a large bedroom in my life.

I try to wake up from the bed, but I can't because my leg and body feel heavy and exhausted and I can feel my throat is in pain and dry without water, but I still try to wake up from the bed since I have no single idea in whose house I have stayed.

As I struggled to rise from the bed, again I heard someone calling my name and it was the same voice I heard before I collapse last night. I look up to see the sources of the sound and it turns up to be Nuea.

"Mark, are you awake? How are you feeling." He asked while holding a tray that contains a bowl and a glass of water.

As soon as I saw the water, I quickly raise my hand and waved my hand showing Nuea to hand over the water as I was desperate to drink the water to make my feel throat better. To that, Nuea quickly gave me the glass of water and I quickly gulped the water like there is no tomorrow. The gulp was too quick until my throat was not bearing it which makes me cough and spill the water.

"Mark slows down, wait let me take some tissue for you," Nuea said and leave the room to take some tissue papers.

As Nuea handling me the tissue, I raise the empty glass towards Nuea and try to talk to him asking for more water since the glass was not enough for me.

"Nuea...water..." coughing".

"You want more water?"

I just nodded as have no strength to speak since my throat was in extreme pain.

"Okay, I'll bring" Nuea said by brings a glass jar that contains water

"Here bring the glass here, let me pour the water for you." Nuea pours water into the glass as I was holding it.

Again, I gulp the whole water in the glass and make myself calm.

"You feel better Mark?"

"Better...."Coughing"

"It's okay take it easy," He said while rubbing my back as I was coughing like an old man.

After calming down my cough, the room was filled with silence, I lean my body on the bed headboard and Nuea still looking at me with concern, but he didn't talk as he is waiting for me to talk first.

How come I ended up in Nuea's bedroom? Did he bring me here? Or perhaps Vee ask me to bring me here? As so many questions were running on my mind....

Suddenly the silence was interrupted as soon as Nuea spoke.

"You fainted at the front door of your apartment so I bring you to the clinic for a quick check-up and the doctor said the reason you fainted is because of dehydration and starvation."

"Yesterday, I came to visit Vee as he was looking so down since you left the office with that police officer. Then I saw you and Vee were arguing and saw Vee ask you to leave the house and you fainted."
