**Eddie's POV**

"Come out you bitch!" Jason shouted.

I stood in front of the door and hesitated. My adrenaline is pumping through my body, he's inside my house... and he isn't leaving without a fight. I turned my head over my shoulder, looking at Jade she had tears in her eyes... I looked over to the corner and saw Maiden duck under her vanity chair. I knew what I had to do.

"Wait here." I whispered quickly, my body lounged towards her. Pressing my lips against her cheek I held back tears. I tried my hardest to mask my fear, I wanted to reassure her that she would be okay.

I felt time began to slow down as my hand steadily wrapped around the door handle. Jason was on the other side waiting for me, or Jade. The muscles throughout my arm began to twitch while the door open. I snaked my body through a small gap.

Jason stood in front of the living room, my heart stopped at the sight of a small gun he held in one hand.
What the fuck
What the fuck man
Where the fuck is Hopper. Where the fuck is the other officer who is supposed to be on night watch.

"Well..." Jason laughed. "Hi there."
"What do you want." I asked.

Jason looked at me, instead of answering he dropped his head and began to walk around. My body was spread across the other side of the door, I was scared. I wanted to make sure I was still as close to Jade as I could be.

"I want her to come out!" He shouted waving the gun towards the door.

"No." I mumbled, my heart pounded against my rib cage. I felt the blood rush into the palm of my hands while I gripped down on the handle of the door.

"You ruined my life." He laughed.

"I'm-sorry." I stuttered.
"Now you're sorry?" he shouted turning around.
"You weren't sorry when you came over and beat my ass? Then you came over again and fucking beat my ass? You weren't sorry then? Or you're just sorry now that I'm in your house."

"You kidnapped my girlfriend..."
"No I didn't!" Jason became delusional. The hair began to stick towards the side of his sweaty face, he pressed the gun towards the middle of his temple. "No I didn't." His beady eyes darted across the room.

"No I didn't." He whispered tapping the side of his head. Watching him unravel in to this insane state made me uncomfortable.
Where the fuck is Hopper.

"Yes you-"
"No I didn't!" He shouted lounging towards my body.

The front door swung open. Hopper marched inside the apartment ready to fire. Two other officers come in shortly after. Jason looked at me, with one hand he aimed the gun towards my head. My eyes focused down on the barrel, his finger slowly wrapped around the trigger, as he pressed down I quickly shut my eyes, slowly dropping my body towards the ground I pressed down on my ears.

This is it. This is how it ends. I'll die protecting the one I love. The one I have only ever loved. I'm so scared-

My thoughts got interrupted at the sound of shots being fired. When I looked up I saw Jason's grip loosen on his firearm, his body fell down onto his knees, his chest began to pool blood while his head crashed against the carpet, a loud muffled sound was the only thing to be heard.

Jade's bloodcurdling screamed filled the room.
"Eddie!" She shouted.

Standing myself up I couldn't take my eyes off the scene that was happening before me. Hopper walked through the living room, still prepared for fire he only released aim when he noticed Jason stopped moving.

I looked over at the sound of Jade's cries coming closer, her feet quickly shuffled against the carpet floor, crashing into my body she came down from her shock.

"I'm here..." I muttered wrapping my arms around her. My breathe was shaky, the sounds around me became muffled. Holding Jade in my arms I became paralyzed. The room began to spin while I slipped out of focused.
....
.....
...
"Are you okay?"
...
..
"We need an ambulance."

A piercing sound came through my ears bringing me back to focus. Jade was still sobbing in my arms, squeezing me as tight as she could I looked down at her confused.
"I'm okay." I muttered.
"I know-" she cried.

"You both will have to go to the station." Hopper sighed walking up to us, looking at the doorframe I saw Jason's body hidden under a black tarp being wheeled out.

"Where were you?" I mumbled looking around.
"Eddie don't start-"
"Don't start?" I shouted. "He had a fucking gun to my face! He broke into the apartment." Without realizing I let go of Jade, marching up to Hopper my finger was pointed directly between his eyes.

"Where the fuck were you." I cried, smashing my hands against Hoppers chest he stumbled back. Hopper took in my blows with ease, which created anger in me. Tears trailing down my cheeks, I began to sob.
"Where the fuck were you."

"He had a fucking gun to my face man!" I cried out, that's when it hit me. Jason had broken into our apartment with a motive. He pointed the gun directly in my face. If Hopper would have been just a second late, I would be the one being carried out.

When the realization hit, I stumbled onto my feet. Jade let out a sigh as he caught my body. Dropping towards the ground she held me tightly. Screaming into her arms I held her with dear life. When I closed my eyes I saw the moment over again.

"It's okay." Jade muttered, her hand pressed against the side of my head. I held on to her tightly, a natural instinct struck within her because she began to rock my body back and forth.
"It's okay." She repeated.

The sound of police sirens drowned over the room as more officers stepped in. Jade and I sat in the middle of our living room, in each other's arms I continued to cry.
