"I don't know how you're still working." Robin asked handing my movies.
"I need money." I sighed.

I promised myself I would work up until I had the baby, but this morning was different. I woke up with an uneasy feeling. I tried to mask down my anxiety by going through my regular routine, a part of me was still unprepared for her to arrive.

The whole morning I felt uncomfortable. I was experiencing sharp stomach pains. Steve had the day off so it was just Robin and I working. It was a typical Monday morning for us at Family Video. The weekend rush had died down so Robin and I focused on restock and clean up.

Please don't have the baby today- I can't drive." Robin laughed nervously, she took notice of my hand pressing down on my stomach.

"God I hope not." I tried to breathe out. "But you can just call Eddie if anything happens."
"Are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah- just, stomach pains." I winced just for a moment, I felt a relief of pressure, taking a deep breath in I began to calm down.

"Hand me more." I said extending my hand out. I waited for a moment before I looked at her.
"Robin!" I snapped my fingers in her face when I realized she wasn't paying attention.

"Jade..." she mumbled.

"Yes?" I looked up at her and her eyes were locked on to the floor. Her mouth hung open in shock.

"Dude.." she pointed down at the ground. My eyes trailed down towards the floor, a small pool of liquid surrounded my feet.
"Fuck. Call Eddie." I mumbled.

Robin ran towards the front desk. I watched as her hands fumbled with the telephone cord, frantically dialing numbers I took deep breaths in.
Okay Jade, don't worry. You're just going to have a baby. I thought to myself.

"Eddie!" She shouted. "It's time. No. It's really time. Hurry please. I can't drive. You know I can't drive. So you need to come like right now, like as soon as I hang up the phone you need to be here. Ok-" her words were frantic, taking a look back at me she began to panic.

"Where is she!" I heard Eddie shout running in to family video.
"Back here!" I cried.

I had sat down on the floor, trying to breathe through the pain I squeezed Robins hand. Eddie ran through the aisle, stopping his feet his hands flew towards his face. Taking me in panic shot through his body.

"Fuck-"
"Let's go!" I shouted trying to stand up.

"Hey-hey hey it's okay." He mumbled holding his hand out towards me.
"Let's go!" I cried out.

"Oh my god." Robin mumbled. "Holy shit. You're having a baby. You're actually having a baby." Panic ran through Robin when the realization hit.
"Yeah-" Eddie mumbled.

"Let's go please." I cried trying to grab my bag.
"Let me-" Robin said yanking the bag out of my hand. I held Eddie by his shoulders, trying to waddle out of Family Video my knees buckled, Eddie caught me trying to lift me up again. I screamed out in pain.

"You're okay. We're gonna have a baby." He tried to comfort me.

"We? I'm the one pushing her out!" I screamed.
"I know-Shit. Sorry." He mumbled opening the door for me.

"Wait!" Robin shouted. Eddie and I looked back at her.
"I have to call Steve!"

"Do it on the walkie! I literally can not wait." My hand tried to grip on to the passenger door handle.
"Right. Right." She stuttered.

"Steve- are you there!" She shouted, a few moments had passed before she tried again.
"Steve Harrington!"

"What! Robin it's my day off." He scoffed.
"It's time!" We all shouted.

"What!" He shouted.

"It's time dingus. Meet us at the hospital." Robin cried looking at me.
"It's time!" Dustin cut in through the channel.
"Yes!"

"Time for what?" Lucas cut in as well.
"Oh my god-Time for Jade to have her baby!" Robin laughed.

I sat in the passenger seat, Robin was slumped in the back of the car. I looked at Eddie for a moment, his eyes were locked on to the road ahead of us, I watch the sweat bead down his forehead.
"It's happening." I tried to smile through the pain.

"I know."

"You're doing good baby, just keep going." Eddie reassured me, I was in the hospital, this was the moment. It all hit me, we were going to have a baby.

"Do you want me to call your mom?" He asked holding my hand.
"No!" I screamed.

"Baby, come on-"
"No!" I shouted.

"Ok." His eyes became wide. Holding my hand he continued to brush the hair out of my face.
"Holy shit." Robin gasped, she sunk down into the hospital couch.

My vision became distorted, over all my body was exhausted. I heard our baby cry, looking over I saw Eddie holding her.
"You did really well mama, congratulations." The nurse smiled resting her hand on my shoulder.

"What's the name?" The doctor asked standing at the edge of the bed.
"Samantha." I sighed.
"After my mom." Eddie replied. I looked up at him, he stood there holding her close to his chest.

I felt my eyes close for a moment, I felt as if I had just gotten hit by a car. My eyes continued to open at the sound of the baby crying.
"Give me." I whimpered.

"Babe, you're tired." Eddie said, his arms wrapped closer to his chest.
"Give me the baby." I snapped extending my arms out.

"Only if you call your mom." He said raising his brow.
"Eddie. Give me my god damn baby." I snapped.
"Call your mom."

"Fine!" I shouted. "Robin, can you call my mom please."
"On it!" She responded rummaging through my bag.

"Now can I have my baby?" I asked rolling my eyes.

Eddie looked up at the doctor, as if he was waiting for approval.
"Yes, she can hold her."

He gently adjusted the baby from his arms, placing her on my chest I wrapped my arms around her. I took a deep breath in and sat up. My finger rested at the hem of her blanket, looking at her I felt a natural instinct kick in, I hummed softly rocking her slightly.

"I can't believe she's here." I cried. Her cries mellowed out.

"I know." Eddie hovered over me, I looked up at him for a moment and noticed his eyes glazed over. He was admiring our baby.

My vision came back to focus, I finally got a good look at her. Her ivory skin was flushed red, her dark hair was slicked over her head. I tried to make out who's features she had gotten. I was waiting for her to open her eyes. I knew they would be brown, but I was wondering if they would be dark brown like mine or a warm shade of caramel like Eddie's. All I knew was that she was here and she was perfect.

"Are you crying?" I tried to contain my laugh.
"Yes- God you just pushed out a baby. My baby, I mean our baby. Yes I'm crying." He rambled wiping a tear that fell on to his cheek.

"Name one person in this room who is gonna matter to you in the next seven years, hell even seven months from now." I laughed looking at Eddie.

"I can name two." He laughed pressing his lips against mine.
