A/N First time Alec stays over and also sees Magnus without make-up and hair in spikes.

Alec wanted nothing more than to go see Magnus after Patrol: it'd been a tiring day with reports, meetings and trainings and Alec just wanted to see his now-official boyfriend. He'd already been busy the past week and only visited the warlock a limited number of times, and he was missing Magnus like crazy. He wasn't sure whether this was normal.

"Alexander Gideon Lightwood!" Alec heard Izzy all but scream next to him. She was on Patrol with him. He offered her an apologetic shrug.

"What's on your mind, Alec?" she inquired, "You haven't listened to a single word I've said."

"Nothing."

"Whatever."

They finished Patrol, and Alec all but raced to the loft. After being together for five months, everything was still new, kissing Magnus, getting to hold his hand, the way Magnus would lean on Alec's shoulders when watching a film... Everything awakened a new nerve in Alec.

This time when he entered the loft, he was entirely surprised, in the best possibly way. Magnus was leaning against the doorway as he always did when Alec knocks up, but this time, Magnus seemed to be free off make-up, and his beautiful dark hair was soft and unstyled, resting above his shoulders, and Magnus looked so damn good.

Magnus noticed Alec staring. "Want me to put my make-up back on?"

He raised his hand to magic make-up on, but Alec caught at his wrist. "N - no, you look beautiful, Magnus. I just um wow, this - I can't... You... Um, Magnus-"

Magnus kissed Alec to stop the stuttering and Alec, now with the volume his unstyled hair offered, tangled his hands in the warlock's hair, something he'd only recently started doing, and Magnus gave a soft gasp as Alec tugged very lightly.

Magnus pulled away. "And you were trying to say?"

"That you look stunning," Alec mumbled, "You always look great, but this is just... I don't know. You just look so gorgeous like this. I mean you always do -"

"Alexander," Magnus interrupted, eyes glinting, "I really didn't know me not wearing make-up would get you so bothered. If that were the case, i would've done it ages ago."

"You should've," Alec said, "You don't need to cover anything up when you're with me."

"Thank you, Alexander," Magnus answered, "I love wearing make-up, but sometimes it's nice to be rid of it. Especially in the evenings."

"Yeah that makes sense," Alec said and then took in the sight of Magnus all over again, and sighed, "I really want a coffee right now."

"Come in," Magnus huffed and gestured, "I'll make you one."

Ever since Alec seemed dubious of Magnus magicking slash stealing coffee, the warlock made to keep his loft stocked with at least the ingredients needed for coffee, and now, he had figured out Alec's perfect cup: little milk, one sugar and a little bit of cream when there was time. There was definitely time tonight.

He handed Alec the coffee and Magnus magicked himself a weak cocktail and sat next to Alec on the sofa, who looked ready to sleep for possibly a year.

"Tired?" Magnus inquired.

"A bit," Alec murmured, sipping his coffee, "This is great."

"What would you like for dinner?" Magnus asked, "I think walking to a restaurant may just about exhaust you."

"I think I'm too tired for dinner," Alec yawned, "I'll go to the Institute in a bit."

Magnus hid his face falling. "Of course."
