Love is unexpected

CHAPTER EIGHT: SUDDEN EXPERIENCES

Lucas went to the front yard and walked silently while thoughts were coming upon him... 

Olivia went into her room and just laid down on her bed, "I may have been too rude to him, I shouldn't have done that. Should I apologize..? But then he was wrong as well to prank him when he knew I was standing in the line to meet my idol. He didn't know about it as well...Ughh I don't know what to do."

Nessa came into the room and sat beside Olivia, "Oh my god!! I'm so excited about tomorrow! Aren't you as well?" Olivia said, "Yes I am-" she paused for a second, "Wait what's tomorrow?" Vanessa sighed, "You don't even know what's happening in the school despite studying in it. Tomorrow is Break day! This means that we can go to our house to meet our family. It's the one day they give whereby they encourage parents to spend time with us and strengthen their bond." Olivia raised her eyebrows and spoke excitedly, "Are you serious!?! I get to meet my mom and dad!" Nessa chuckled, "You're smiling so much that I'm afraid your teeth might fall off then you won't be able to speak properly." Olivia took a pillow, "How dare you tell me that? Come here!" Nessa chuckled, "What are you gonna do? Take out my teeth as well." They both scrambled around the room throwing pillows at each other. Suddenly a bell rang and they all froze for a second, Nessa whispered, "Who could it be at this hour?"

Olivia said, "Wait, I'll check." She opened the door and saw Alyssa. "Uhh hi, I hope I'm not interrupting anything but I was just missing my family a lot and was feeling lonely. Can I come in?" Alyssa saw Vanessa, "Nessa? You're her roommate?" They both hugged each other and decided to make it a girls' night. They even played cards and soon went to bed. Nessa joined their beds so Alyssa could share. They all talked about their current situations. Alyssa said, "So, I heard that you couldn't meet your idol and you were mad at Lucas. Was everything okay?" Olivia sighed, "I may have gone overboard but I just wanted to meet him."

Alyssa said excitedly, "Oh, I've gotten an idea. What if you pretend to put something important in his bag so that you have to go to his house to get it, then you will meet his dad aka Jack Novine." Olivia looked at her with a disgusted face, "I don't want to go so low just to meet him. It's even disgusting to think about it. Don't talk about these rubbish ideas ever again!" Alyssa remained silent for a while and then hugged her, "Alright I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you angry. You know how I just blabber things, please forgive me?" She looked at her with her innocent eyes. Olivia said, "Fine, don't look at me with those eyes. Who knows what it can make someone do?" They slept peacefully.

Olivia woke up early in the morning for her exercise. She had to get up from the bed without making noise which was hard for her as the bed would make noise every time she would move but luckily, they were heavy sleepers. She wore her sports gear and started jogging. Surprisingly, this time she managed to jog for 30mins non-stop. Lucas met her on the way but he ignored her just like the way she did. Finally, she came back and took a shower. By the time, she came out. Alyssa and Nessa, they were already awake. "Where are you planning to go so early in the morning?" Olivia smiled, "I'm so excited to meet my parents that I'm leaving early so I can spend more time with them, and plus I can eat mom's favorite pancakes! I deliberately didn't pick up their call yesterday just to surprise them, I can't wait!" She wore a black shirt with blue jeans with a bandana on her head. She said her goodbyes to her friends, took her bag, and ordered an uber, while she closed the door, Lucas came out with his bag as well. Olivia got nervous and thought, "What if he decides to make me stay today? I can't do that. Oh my god, then I won't be able to surprise my parents." She gasped while putting her hands on her mouth without even realizing it. "If I run away then he'll never be able to say anything and besides, I don't wanna apologize to him about yesterday because he won't say it to me." Suddenly, she started running. Lucas thought, "So she doesn't even want to apologize to me and wants to run away. Did she forget that she was my assistant?" He started running after her as well. Olivia panicked, "Last time, he won while jogging. If he catches me then I'm done for." She ran down the stairs and hid behind them being as low as she possibly could. Lucas stood there and wondered, "Where could she possibly go? I'm pretty sure she has hidden. Not bad, that's clever." Lucas was about to go but suddenly, Olivia had an attack of hiccups, "Hic! Hic!" She put her hand on her mouth, closed her eyes, and talked to herself in her mind, "I'm definitely done for..." Lucas smirked, "See, even your hiccups don't want to leave." Olivia rolled her eyes and thought, "How can a person be so egoistic about himself? Who does he think he is? Jack Novine? I still find it hard to believe that he is his son, there are no such features about him but the girls literally swarm around them like a housefly. So annoying!" Lucas said, "Oh hello, If you haven't realized, you're voice isn't that low so I can hear you murmuring."

Olivia said, "So what? Did I say a lie?" Lucas scoffed, "Leave it, I've got better things to do." He went to a corner and called someone. Olivia checked her phone and gasped, "My uber got canceled." Olivia got thoughts in her mind, "I won't be able to meet my parents now..." tears started coming from her eyes. Lucas was busy with his call until he made a glance at her and saw her tears. He said, "I'll call you back later." And immediately went towards her, "Olivia...what happened? Why are you crying?" He furrowed his brows. She sniffed, "My uber got canceled and I wanna meet m-my parents."

Lucas relaxed and Olivia noticed that his crease went away. "So you were crying just because of this. The Olivia that isn't scared of bullies cried over a rejected uber." He chuckled, "It's not funny." Lucas said, "Ok fine, come with me. I'll drop you home."

Olivia denied, "No, I don't go in strangers' cars." Lucas smirked, "Your my assistant remember? Now sit in the car." Olivia quietly sat in his car. After a few minutes, she made Lucas stop the car and said, "You can leave me here. I'll go by myself."

Lucas sighed, "Liv, do you think I'm a fool?" Olivia got confused, "Liv? That's a new nickname and yes I think you're a fool no doubt." He rolled his eyes, "Olivia is a big name so I'll just call you Liv. No arguments and don't you think that if you lived this nearby, you wouldn't live in a hostel and plus do you even see a house here? It's literally a sandy road." Olivia murmured, "What do I even tell him?" Lucas said, "Fine, If you're gonna be stubborn then I have my ways." He started to call someone. Olivia thought, "Quick, I should run away." 

She opened the door and started running until after a while, she couldn't see his car at all. As she was walking, she saw a van coming down the road. It was normal until all of a sudden, the van stopped. Olivia saw a group of men come out who looked like a mob of gangsters or kidnappers. It was too late when she realized... they surrounded her. They started coming closer while laughing hideously. "Help!! Someone!! They are trying to kidnap me!" She cried for help numerous times but there was no response. One guy said whose face was like a dog's, "Boss is going to like her." Olivia whispered, "No!!" She was having a panic attack, "Help! Anyone please!"
