Love is unexpected

CHAPTER NINE: LUCAS TO THE RESCUE!

Suddenly, one of the guys yelled and became unconscious. Behind him was Lucas with a metal rod smirking, "Hello y'all, who wants to go next?" He showed a beckoning sign, "Come on!" All of the men started running towards him. Lucas started beating them and making them unconscious. He got beaten as well and one time, someone hit him on the face but it didn't affect his strength much. After a while, all of them were unconscious. Lucas was bleeding from one side of his face, "Still want to go alone, Liv? Olivia shrieked, there was a person behind him who was about to beat him with the metal rod on his head. She thought that she had to do something so she immediately ran towards him and pushed him to the ground, Olivia started slapping him hard, "How could you think of even kidnapping me you shameless creature! You look like a dog and act like one as well." She said it sternly as if a policewoman had arrested someone. The man became unconscious soon after...Olivia was in shock...she sat there and froze. Her panic attack was still happening but she was still processing what had happened that she forgot what was happening to herself. Lucas came and sat next to her, "Liv, look at me." He held her hands. Olivia looked at him with her tearful eyes and hugged him, "Lucas, I don't know what I'd have done if you weren't there" Lucas held her face with this hands."Listen, Breath with me okay? Breath in..." he inhaled and Olivia followed, "Breath out..." he exhaled and Olivia did so as well. "Now close your eyes and think of something that you love." She thought for a while and smiled "Tell me what you see..."

Olivia breathed in and said, "I see a garden of lavender and white tulips." Lucas looked at her admiringly, "It's beautiful isn't it?" Olivia smiled, "Very."

"Now open your eyes." Olivia stared into his brown eyes while Lucas stared at hers. They didn't realize it until they were interrupted by a groan. It came from one of the guys. Lucas grabbed her hand, "Let's get going before they wake up." They both ran to their car and sat. Lucas said, "Let's go to my house, it's nearby and then you can freshen up there. I'll drop you home before lunch."

Olivia hesitated and thought, "This is becoming like Alyssa's idea. No, I don't want to cheat anyone like that." She saw that more blood was coming out of his side face. Olivia removed her bandana, her hair came down and she started to remove blood from his face.

He stared at her...

Lucas thought, "She looks beautiful with her hair down. I don't know why she always ties it."

Olivia said, "Umm...I won't feel comfortable at your home, it's better that I go to my house."

Lucas removed her hand from his face and started the car.

Olivia thought, "I was so foolish to go out in the middle of nowhere. He got hurt while saving me, I don't know what I'd do if he wasn't there..."

She nervously gulped,

Lucas glanced at her and looked at the road, "You look like you want to tell me something."

Olivia said, "Erm...yeah...I just wanna say that I-I'm sorry. You got hurt badly while saving me and it was all because of my foolishness." Lucas said, "At least you admitted it, and don't think I saved you because I cared for you not to die. It's in my family's reputation to save people when they need help so don't think you need to repay me back or anything and take it too seriously."

Olivia got shocked, "I was going to thank you for it but now I don't think you even deserve it."

Lucas thought, "Good thing I told her otherwise she would have wanted to repay me, I don't want her to feel the burden of a debt."

Lucas reached his house and went inside the gate. It was a huge mansion!

Olivia gasped, "Wow! It's so big! Is this your house?" Lucas nodded.

"But why are we here? I mean why am I here? Weren't you supposed to drop me home?"

Lucas said, "Have you seen yourself in the mirror, your face has bruises and it looks pale? If they see me dropping you, they'll probably think that I've gotten something to do with you and then they might take me to the police or anything. At least you can look better so that your parents don't notice. But do tell them so they can know about your foolishness."

Olivia gave him a disgusted look, "Just show me a tap and I'll wash my face. I won't change my clothes."

Lucas asked, "Why?"

Olivia said, "Well, I don't want to change my clothes in public."

Lucas chuckled, "Who said to stay outside? Come in!"

He grabbed her hand and took her inside, "I'll show you a guest room ok?" Olivia took out her hand from his and said nervously, "Won't your parents be here? What will they think of me?"

Lucas smirked, "Don't worry they're at work and besides your my assistant, now come on!" He showed her the room.

Olivia gasped, "This room is huge! How do people live here?"

Lucas smiled, "Okay, you can go in the bathroom and shower. I'll bring you my sister's clothes. Olivia took a warm shower and wrapped a towel.

As she was about to come out, she saw Lucas come into the room.

Olivia gasped and quickly closed the door, "Uhh...Lucas can you please give me the clothes, she took out her hand from the door. Lucas handed her clothes and she got dressed. He waited beside the door in case she needed anything.

As she came out, she suddenly slipped as she was drying her hair with a towel.

Luckily, Lucas held her...he suddenly smirked, "You can't do one thing without me now can you?"

Olivia let go of his hand aggressively but realized that she was gonna fall.

Lucas held her hands just in time, "Phew, you never know, one day you might fall and then your brain will become even smaller than it is."

Olivia hit him, from now on, I'll call you, "Mr. Arrude?" Lucas said, "What-what did you call me? Mr. Arrude? What's that?"

Olivia thought, "It's a good name; a combination of arrogant and rude- arrude!"
She laughed.
Lucas asked, "What's so funny about this name?"

Olivia said, "I won't tell you, just understand that it's what you are." Lucas said, "Yeah yeah, keep on calling me weird names. As if, I care! Ok fine, enough arguments. Are you planning on going home or not?" Olivia said excitedly, "Come on, it's gonna be noon soon."

They reached after half an hour to her house. Olivia said, "Thank you, not just for dropping me but for saving me as well even though that was not your aim. I don't know what I'd do if you were there." She said her goodbyes and knocked on the door.

Lucas stayed there to watch if she went in safely. Her father opened the door and said to her mother, "Dear, come fast. Our daughter is here!" He hugged her tightly, next her mom came and she became emotional as well after hugging her.

Lucas had tears in his eyes...Olivia looked behind but he immediately left after.

She thought, "Did I see tears in his eyes? What happened?"

Her parents said, "Come in, why are you standing outside?"

Olivia sat down and told them the whole story about break day and how she had become the assistant of Lucas and what had happened today. Her mother said, "So much has happened and you didn't even tell me?" Olivia held her hand, "I know, I just didn't want to worry you. It was better to tell you face to face." Her father asked, "Was that a boy that dropped you?" Olivia said, "I'm his assistant, his name is Lucas...he was the guy that saved me." Her father smiled, "So nice of him to drop you home even after he saved you but don't get distracted by the boy drama. Concentrate on your dance okay?" Olivia said, "Yes dad, don't worry about it." She spent her whole day watching a movie with them and at last, ate dinner. She packed her bags at night.
