Giving birth to The Immortals:
The idea of the team as some of you may know, came to play for the book "The Prince and the Spiderman", I wanted to make a team of superheroes from Middle East, I always been drawn to middle east culture (according to my mom, we have some of that in our blood but I have a hard time believing in stuff she says so...but still) and seeing the lack of characters and representation in the comics about them, unless you can count mostly villains, there aren't many heroes from that part of the world and giving that the whole thing of Arash started as a middle east hero inspired by the game "The Prince of Persia", I wanted to envelop that into creating a team from there.
About the lineup and name it's all on the book's "About..." and also in the "Making Of: The Prince and the Spiderman" post from this book, but the idea of doing a book for them came when I thought of continuing the story for Arash and also when I did the book for Patrick ("The Rhythm of the Hero"), I decided to add them on the mix as a way to touch on some more mature subject, make them team up with other characters I from the MCU of the comics also it served to me like Patrick's book or "Gravity Zero" book to give Arash a rest but give him still some spotlight given that this team book happened thanks to him

Prologue (The Old Tomb) of the book:
This was just a way to introduce a bit rocky group dynamic, something I obviously couldn't do in Arash's book, also to throw some problems at Arash as there was some reaction and consequences to what happened in Persia (also since I wasn't gonna do the "Far From Home"/"No Way Home" arc, I decided on give Arash the bad press) and also to what happened with Wanda in Westview. This also worked as a way to bring back The Dahaka and the "Post-Credit" scene that I left on Arash's book and introduce not only him and Aunty Zahra again but the other villains...well mind controlled but still villains for the book, that in my mind was a way for The Dahaka to gather information and learn about this new world he is now in, reason why all of them are professors in different areas and also I take in count choosing the ones that could have a "transformation" after we meet them in their "human form", one of them came from the comics but the others were basically OCs, other thing I wanted about the villains was to each one target around the world and take the group to different parts of the world and not just limit them to things happening in Persia.
