Evelyn Meester, born, raised and working in the spotlight. After landing her dream role in a film called The black phone, she meets a boy and he turns her world upside down.
I'm on edge, Teo is across the room taking the either victory or better luck next time cake out of the oven .
"I saw that audition tape, I'm sure you'll get the part." I bite the inner part of my lip and the phone starts ringing. "Holy shit Holy shit Holy shit it's them, IT'S THEM!" He runs over to me, cake still in hand.
"Fucking answer it Evelyn!" I shush him with a finger to his lips. "Hello? Is this miss Evelyn Meester?" The girl on the end of the phone says in a monotone voice. "Yes yes, I am she."
"Congratulations, you are officially going to play the role of Lillian Jenson in the black phone, more details will be announced by the end of the week." A wide smile is plastered on my face as she announces where and when filming is and once the phone call ends, I place my phone on the counter.
"TEO I GOT IT, I GOT THE ROLE!" I know I shouldn't have told him, but I know he won't tell anyone until it's announced publicly. "FUCK YEAH! WELL DONE EVELYN!" He screams, picking me up and twirling me around.
Just as Teo puts me down, my mother walks in. She looks glamorous. I'm guessing she just came back from an event of some sorts. "What are you so excited about Evelyn honey?" She cockes an eyebrow in confusion.
"I got the role in Black phone mom!" I run and hug her tightly. "Oh that's great honey, I'm so proud of you!" She places a kiss atop my head while releasing the hug. She excuses herself to bed as she is tired.
Teo is staying the night, it was either a sleepover to congratulate me on getting my dream role, or to make sure I don't cry over a role I've wanted since I read the book.
We devour the cake on the couch infront of the TV. "So filming is here in LA?" He asks stuffing his face with more cake. I nod, climbing deeper into the blankets on my half of the couch.
"You'll kill it, I mean you've analysed the book inside and out." He places his plate on the coffee table infront of us. "I just hope they do finney justice, he's my favorite character in the book." He rolls his eyes, making a kissing face. "You just want him to be cute so when you have your first kiss you won't regret it."
Clarification, I've never kissed anyone. I know that after the filming of this film the next season of my Gossip girl reboot and season 2 of the summer I turned pretty requre me kissing someone, but before that, my character kisses the other main character of the book, Finney Blake.
"Easy for you to say, all the girls you've kissed are gorgeous and basically fall at your feet." He has a cocky smile on his face as I say that. "Well I know that, I'm just irresistible to the ladies, but it's not like people don't absolutely simp for you. There's edits, fan accounts, and Hashtags I don't even want to name."
"Don't forget the fanfiction." I chuckle. I'm scrolling through the pictures from today, deciding which ones I should post. I finally decide.
