"I LOVE JAELIN more, lo siento mi hijo."

jaelin erupted into a fit of laughter whilst robin sat there, dumbfounded. currently, they were on their way to robin's house. he called his mother and she happily agreed to pick them up, considering that it was in fact 10 at night.

jaelin packed a bag full of essentials and of course her school bag. she didn't need to pack a lot since a few clothes of hers were in robin's closet anyway.

jaelin called shotgun, making robin sit at the back. ms arellano looked in the car mirror to see a fake annoyed expression on her son's face.

"did you hear that arellano?" jaelin smirked, looking behind her to see robin with his arms crossed, slouching.

"yep. loud and clear, actually." he muttered, causing jaelin and his mother to laugh again. even if he was supposed to act annoyed, he couldn't help but smile at the sight in front of him.

the laughter soon died down and jaelin looked out the window, seeing various houses pass by. even though robin's house was a couple blocks away, she still closed her eyes, allowing herself to drift off into a light sleep.

ms arellano noticed jaelin falling asleep and her son gazing out the window. she smiled to herself, grateful her son was able to comfort her, knowing that the absence of his father affected him greatly, but not enough to completely change his caring heart.

JAELIN FELT THE familiar turn into his street, and soon the car turned off. although she was half-awake, she kept her eyes shut, not having enough energy to step out the car.

she heard a few muffled sentences, and before she knew it she felt herself being lifted up and carried into the house. she heard a few lights flicker on and soon a door swung open.

robin used his foot to open his door, looking around his room, thankful he actually left if clean for once. he carefully set her down on the bed, removing her shoes and bringing the covers up for her.

just as he was about to leave, she quickly took a hold of his hand. his eyes widened and looked up to see jaelin half awake, shaking her head, silently telling him not to go.

he reluctantly gave in, seeing as jaelin wasn't about to let go of his hand anytime soon. "i'm gonna change real quick, then i'll come back, okay?"

jaelin slowly let go of his hand and nodded before making herself comfortable on the furthest side closest to the wall. a few minutes passed and jaelin was sound asleep. however, before she fell asleep she felt robin get into the bed next to her with a pillow to separate them.

THE NEXT MORNING, ms arellano woke up bright and early. after doing her morning things she checked up on the kids, peering into robin's bedroom.

her heart melted at the sight- robin was practically cuddled into jaelin's side, wrapping his arm around her waist whilst she had her arm around his shoulder, both sleeping peacefully.
