❝ i had ALL and then most of

you !

the night we met, lord huron.

THE SOUND OF a thud alarmed her. she quickly turned her head towards the source of the sound, not caring about the handcuffs at that moment.

her breath hitched at the sight.

there was a pool of blood surrounding robin's body as he lay on his side on the floor. his hair was all over the place and the grabber was stood right by him, with a knife in his hand which was covered in crimson red.

he had a second knife.

a second knife. hidden from them.

she stared at his unmoving body in shock, fear and disbelief. the three feelings she hoped she never would have to experience, ever.

guess hope wasn't on her side this time. well, it didn't feel like anything was in on her side. nothing was in her favour.

it was like she was frozen in place. she couldn't move, couldn't scream, couldn't cry. she just felt..numb. it felt like time stopped for only a moment, but at the same time, everything went by in a blink of an eye.

a moment of silence passed. but then, the grabber slowly made his way towards the helpless girl. she shut her eyes, accepting her fate. it's not like she could do anything, anyway.

it wasn't until he heard a bunch of keys and metal sounds that she opened her eyes. she furrowed her brows and looked down, seeing the handcuffs gone and the grabber disappearing towards the other small room.

she never really noticed how numb they would feel after little blood flowing to them the past day or so, but she felt numb everywhere at this point, so there wasn't a clear difference.

as soon as she properly realised she had been released, she didn't hesitate to take off the tape on her mouth and run over to robin's limp body, sitting beside it. she immediately checked for his pulse, still holding onto that last bit of hope.

but she felt no heartbeat.

her heart dropped to her stomach, and she felt sick. she shook her head, already feeling the tears streaming out more than ever. she put both her hands on either side of him and shook him, "robin..? robin. robin, seriously, don't do this to me. robin! robin please!"

she put his head on her lap and cupped his cheeks. she noticed this was the first time in days that robin's face wasn't either scrunched up in pain or stressed and scared. well, the first time he showed nothing..because he was dead.

"no...robin.." she breathed out in a shaky voice.

she saw the stab wound which was directly into his heart. the heart that was no longer beating. the heart that carried not only blood, but bravery and care.

it was then that she finally let out a loud sob. knowing that the last bit of hope that robin would open his eyes any minute and tell her he's okay, was impossible.
