"Wake up Marvel, the sun is already up! Today is going to be a great day."

My eyes open to see Madam Zimbe staring down at me, mere inches away from my face.

She leans back and smiles before leaving my room, door wide open.

Capitol people are weird. Speaking of which, we must be nearly there.

I get out of bed and make my way to the dining carriage, not bothering to change clothes. They will have to do.

The mentors are sitting at the table with Madam Zimbe, all tucking into some sort of breakfast.

Glimmer has her face pressed to the window.

"We are here! Or at least we will be soon!"

Grabbing the star shaped fruit from yesterday, I join her at the window.

She was right, huge towering buildings surround us on all sides before we disappear into a tunnel. A minute goes by before opening into a large platform.

"Oh my gosh," Glimmer gasps.

The whole platform was filled with Capitol people. Bright colours, weird features and chanting hit me in the face.

"If you want to make an impression start now." Madam Zimbe calls from behind us.

Glimmer immediately hides her shocked expression for a more queenly one before waving to the crowd.

I couldn't help my grin seeping through.

They are all here for me, well us. But mainly me. They know one of us is going to win, they have faith. This, this is why I'm here. To prove to them I have what it takes to be a winner, a champion.

The train doesn't slow down, we continue into other tunnel until we pull up to an empty platform.

Cashmere pops up behind us.

"Grab anything you own and head over to the elevator."

We stare blankly back at her.

She sighs.

"You know, the metal doors over there? Just press the button next to it. We will be with you soon."

Glimmer runs back to her room to grab her stuff. I don't bother grabbing my old clothes. I won't be needing them from now on.

Stepping off the train, I realised just how cold it was.

Surrounded by snowy mountains, no wonder it's chilly. Makes sense how many layers the Capitol people wear on the TV...

I head over to the metal doors and push the button as instructed. Glimmer, the mentors and Madam Zimbe join me without a word.

One of the mentors pushes a button and we shoot upwards. Soon we slow to a stop, the doors open to reveal a large room separated into sections by large curtains. It doesn't look dissimilar to the hospital back at district 1, except a whole lot fancier.
