"okay kid," ricky heard someone say at the doorway. ricky and nini looked away from each other to see tony standing at the doorway, "you ready to rock and roll?"

"that's such a dad like saying," ricky muttered to himself, "but yeah! let's uh... end this thing."

ricky was getting out of bed while tony nagged him, "dad like? what's very dad like??"

"nothing," ricky complained, "it was just—"

"just what??" tony pressured, "are you saying i have a dad bod? cause lemme tell you kid—"

"—what?! no!" ricky argued, "when did i say that?"

nini watched as the two boys argued amongst each other. nini silently laughed as she tried to hide her smile as best as she can. the girl admired their relationship.

nini was glad ricky had tony — a father figure, some would say. nini knew that behind all the nagging and badgering, ricky was grateful to have tony too. he looked up to him so much.

"can you two zip it?" aunt may commanded in a stern voice. pepper and aunt may were standing behind tony, both of their arms crossed over their chests.

"he started it," tony whispered, quickly facing the ground.

ricky shot a look at nini, "i did not start it! right, neens?"

the girl shrugged her shoulders, "i mean... you kinda did?"

"thank you, ricky's girlfriend!" tony exclaimed with satistfication.

"her name's nini!?" ricky whined, looking at tony with annoyance. nini shook her head, unable to contain her laughter.

"i don't like to call anyone by their names," tony defended himself.

"what is that? a rich people thing?" ricky spat back.

"and a gemini thing," pepper added on, earning an annoyed glare by tony. she shrugged her shoulders in response. everyone nodded their heads with understanding. tony looked at everyone with confusion.

"of course you're a gemini," ricky replied, shaking his head.

"what the hell is that supposed to mean?" tony asked.

"okay, honey, let's just go! why don't i help you prepare your things, okay?" pepper suggested, pulling tony out of the room before the two boys could bicker again. although, tony was still running his mouth as he walked down the hallway. aunt may shortly followed after them. ricky let out a chuckle and looked down at nini.

"someone couldn't take a joke," ricky sighed, looking down at nini with admiration.

nini snickered, "you guys are incredibly alike."

"i don't see it," ricky simply said.

"welp, you know the saying," nini continued, "not everyone can recognize themselves in the mirror."

"you always have the right comebacks right up your sleeve."

"i know, it's hard being amazing all the time."

"wish i was more like you."

"hey! what did red and i talk about?? stop this pity self-doubt talk. you're great."

"could be better!"

"you're amazing. an amazing person...," nini reassured him, "... and an amazing spider-man."

"KID! STOP FLIRTING AND LET'S GO!" they heard tony yelled down the hallway. they let out a laugh. ricky grabbed nini's hand and gave it a gentle kiss.

"i'll be back soon," ricky told the girl, "happy, aunt may, and pepper are all gonna be here with you so you have nothing to worry about. plus we're in iron man's house. i'm one hundred percent sure you're safe in here."
