Samantha:
Good afternoon Mr. Carter.
when do you want me to reschedule
the meeting you canceled today?

Mr. Carter: (voice message)
NON! Sorry I'm playing Roblox
do not disturb my playtime please

apartment ; 16.10 hours

The text was from half an hour ago. 'He has a kid?' You thought to yourself as you sighed.

Well bad news, you've been crushing on your boss for four months now ever since you first walked inside his office for an interview.

You never knew he had a son, he looked so young and successful.

And he never mentioned having a family like 'good morning, I'm Ethan Carter, your boss and I'm a married man' you rolled your eyes at your ridiculous thoughts.

'I mean it's not like it's my business to know if he's married or not right? He's just my boss and I'm just his secretary,' you sighed as you stood up, walking towards your kitchen to find something to eat for dinner.

It was still early but you live alone.

You groaned as you only found mayonnaise and some bread there, along with some other condiments

'I don't even like mayonnaise. Why the hell did I buy it?' Your thoughts as you got your purse to go to the grocery store.

You walked since it was only a few blocks away. But something or someone made you halt on your steps, you suddenly saw a boy crying

"Hey, are okay? Where's your parents?" He stopped wailing loudly as he looked up to you with his doe eyes, making you aw.

He wiped his tears and sniffed "It's okay. I'm not gonna bite. Your parents probably told you don't talk to strangers so I'm Samantha. Are you okay?"

You held your hand out but he hesitated on holding it, but after a few seconds, he reached out his small hand to you and held you.

"I-I'm Aiden, I-I lost my d-daddy" he cried once more.

You knelt down and open your arms. He immediately got in your embrace as you hugged him and rubbed his back

"It's okay hm? Let's look around to find your daddy okay?" He pouted but he nod, making you chuckle and kiss his forehead.

You held his hand as both of you started to walk around the area, trying to look for people around.

"Aiden, where did you and your daddy go earlier?"

"W-we were outside a big building and daddy told me to stay in the car with Ella" you stared at him.

"Is she your sister?" He nodded and smiled.

"We're twins and daddy said we came out on the same date but I came out first so I'm her big brother" he stated proudly, making you chuckle.

"Aiden! Aiden!" You were surprised when you saw a little girl run to Aiden and hugged him tightly.

You then saw a man in a suit, following from behind with a worried face as he knelt down

"Aiden, I told you to stay inside the car while I pick up some papers" the man said. He was quite good looking.

"You must be his father" the man suddenly looked at you.

"Thank you for keeping Aiden company. I thought I lost him. And no, I'm Leo, their bodyguard and driver. I work for their father"
