Mr. Smooth talker

"Don't worry, you didn't lose him because he got out on his own and lost himself" you teased Aiden, making his cheeks flush.

"What will you say to them Aiden? You made them worry" he played with the pebbles with his toes and looked down

"I'm sorry Leo. I'm sorry Ella. I won't go out without notice next time" Ella hugged him.

"I-I thought you ran away" she frowned.

She then looked at you and surprised you when she hugged your legs "thank you p-pretty lady for taking care or my brother"

You knelt down and held her hands "no problem Ella" she giggled, they were like 4-5 years old and nothing more but they look and talk smart.

"Can you come with us please?" Ella gave you her puppy eyes, making you almost melt at her cuteness

"But I need to go to the grocery sweetheart. Maybe next time when we see each other again, okay?" The kids frowned, making you mirror their expressions.

Leo suddenly said "would you mind if we give you a ride to your destination Miss?"

"Just Samantha" he nodded.

"Miss Samantha?" You looked at the kids and their hands were clasped and they gave out those cute puppy eyes that you knew you couldn't resist.

"Okay" you chuckled as Aiden and Ella pulled you to the backseat.

Leo got to the driver's seat and asked for the location. Of course, you told him.

You suddenly saw Ella patting down her hair, making you turn towards her "are you okay Ella?"

"My hair is a mess," she frowned.

You chuckled and turned her to the side as you brushed her soft and tangled hair with your fingers gently

"Do you want me to braid it so it won't go in your way?" She happily nodded. Aiden was just staring at the two of you curiously.

Once you untangled her hair, you began to braid it and you pulled out an extra hair tie in your pocket.

Aiden smiled and Ella looked at the rearview mirror. She then smiled and hugged you "thank you Miss Samantha" you smiled back and patted her head.

"I'm sorry Miss Samantha but could we pick up their dad from the office before dropping you off? He just went to pick up some files but then Aiden happened" he chuckled.

"Of course, no problem" the car then zoomed off to a familiar building.

You didn't mind it and just played with the kids while you waited. The back seat suddenly open and your eyes widened

"Miss Bowen?"

"Mr. Carter?" Leo coughed and explained the situation to him, making him sigh in relief.

"Daddy!" Ella went over you as she threw herself onto him

"Hey baby doll, We just saw each other half an hour ago" he chuckled and kissed her forehead.

Your eyes went to Aiden and he was looking down on his lap and was not talking. "Aiden?" Mr. Carter called him.

He sighed as he placed Ella back on her seat and carried Aiden "are you okay buddy?" He shook his head.

"Then why are you acting like that?" Mr. Carter asked. "I thought you w-were mad because I got lost" Aiden fiddled with his fingers.

"It's okay bud. You're safe and sound, thanks to Miss Bowen. But next time, have someone to go out with, okay? I don't like it when you wander alone because you might get hurt and lost, okay?" Aiden nodded and a smile appeared on his face, making you smile at the scene in front of you.

You never thought that your boss had twins. The car drove off to your destination and you got out

"Thank you for the ride Leo, and Mr. Carter" you bowed.

Aiden and Ella frowned "daddy can we go with her? I don't want to go home yet" Ella frowned and Aiden nodded agreeing with her.

Seeing that he couldn't deny his kids' request and because of the puppy eyes, he sighed.

'I mean, I didn't want to see her off yet so might as well...' his mind wandered off to your figure as you shyly looked down, making him chuckle to himself.

"Miss Y/n, would you mind if we go grocery shopping with you?"
