Chapitre 6

Mona asked.

You were about to reply when someone picked Ella up "my baby doll"

Ella giggled as Ethan placed kisses all over her face.

The employees in the office were surprised to see their boss smiling and on their floor since he never visited the office once.

Ethan looked around and saw a couple guys staring at you holding Aiden, making him grit his teeth as he placed one of his arms around your waist, making you freeze on the spot as you were carrying Aiden.

He leaned into your ear and whispered "let's have lunch outside"

You didn't have time to reply as he was practically pushing you slowly with one of his hand on your back.

Aiden wanted to walk so you just held his hand as all of you walked through the hallways.

You just looked straight ahead since you knew everyone was staring at the four of you as you all walked.

"Mr. Carter–"

"Let's just talk over lunch, okay?" You sighed as you nodded and got inside the car.

All of you reached a nice and expensive looking restaurant. You bonded with the kids after ordering.

"Samantha?" You felt his hand on yours, making you look up.

"Uhm yes?" You gently pulled back your hand from his, making him frown and sigh.

"Look, whatever happened last Friday, I apologize. Sorry for reacting like that. I just remembered something when Ella called you her mom and I got worked up" he explained.

"Would you mind telling me what was wrong?" He gulped.

"I'll tell you but not now, maybe soon" you just nodded.

"I hope it changes nothing. I'm sorry about my actions. I'll try to be better at controlling my emotions. I really want us to work" your eyes widened.

"Us?" You questioned.

"Oh, am I going too fast? Or you don't feel the same way?" He asked nervously.

"Sorry, I don't really know how relationships work" he rubbed his nape in embarrassment.

"No, no, it's totally fine. I'm happy that you want to give us a try...

... since I've been wanting to for a long time"

you muttered the last sentence but it was audible for Leo who was just beside Aiden who was beside you.

He smirked and chuckled. He was about to tell Ethan when you glared at him "don't you dare" Ethan raised his eyebrow.

"Why? Did she say something?" Leo just laughed and waved it off like it was nothing.

"I swear if you utter a word about that, I'll kill you"

"Well, sorry not sorry if I tell my cousin all about it" your eyes widened.

"You're cousins?" Ethan rolled his eyes.

"Distant cousins"

"Still cousins," Leo grinned.

"Daddy ahh" Ella placed a spoon in front of Ethan.

"Daddy eat" Ethan chuckled and put the spoon in his mouth.

"That's yummy" he commented and smiled at her. Ella just giggled and continued eating her food.

"Mama, can I have the mushroom please?" Once again, Aiden referred to you as his mom, leaving Leo, Ethan and you yet, surprised again. Ella just continued eating.

Ethan's gaze softened "of course sweetheart" he smiled as you put the mushrooms on his plate.

Suddenly, you felt someone's foot on your leg. Your eyes widened as you stared at Ethan.

He tilted his head with a playful smirk and you slowly nodded giving him consent. You knew what he was going to do, and you were down for it.

Obviously, duh.

Soon, you felt his foot caressing your leg, making you gasp but the moment was cut off when someone walked towards the table "hey Ethan, long time no see"  Ethan's gaze darkened.

"What are you doing here?" He wrapped his arm around Ella and you did the same with Aiden feeling a little uneasy.

"I came to take the kids back with me" he scoffed.

"Leaving them after you said they were a nuisance and a heavy weight? Nice try" Leo took Ella from him to keep guard.

The rest of you got back to the parking lot.

"I want them back, Carter, they're my kids! I'm their father!" Ethan's jaw clenched.

"Your kids? You gotta be shitting me,

You lost them and that title the second you walked out from their life, Damien"
