Chapter - 24

Third Person’s POV

Mihir entered his father’s room and saw he was sobbing sitting on his bed
covering his face with his both palm.

Mihir went near Rishi and knelt on the floor in front of him.

MIHIR : Dad, please don’t cry. Give her some time... She will calm down. She will forgive
you. Don’t take her words to heart. She was angry that’s why she said those
words.

Rishi shook his head continuously.

RISHI : No… Mihir. She was right. I should be behind the bars. I am a criminal. I don’t
deserve love and respect.

MIHIR : No dad no. You had done a crime but then you got your punishment. You have atoned for your sin in many ways. Even Law doesn’t punish someone for his whole life. Law also gives a second chance. Dad, Kritika aunty, and Aniket uncle have also given
you second chance. And you didn’t ruin it. You did your best to be a good man. Dad, please don’t blame yourself anymore. I don’t like to see you
cry. Please dad don’t cry.

Rishi looked at Mihir and caressed one of his (Mihir) cheeks with his (Rishi)  one hand.

RISHI : But I don’t think I have gotten any punishment rather god has blessed me with a beautiful child like you.

Mihir smiled hearing his dad's statement.

MIHIR : No dad… it is me who is blessed with getting you as my father. Dad, I promise I will make everything alright. Anika will also again love you as she loved before.
Don’t worry. Dad, I will also help you divorce that woman.

RISHI : No Mihir.. (Said in a panicked way)

MIHIR : why are you afraid dad? Anika has already known about the truth. Everyone now knows about that. There is nothing to afraid of.

RISHI : No Mihir… you don’t understand.

MIHIR : I understand dad…I understand. You are afraid that she will tell about my birth
truth. She will never tell, dad… she knows very well it will affect her and her
father’s life. But Everyone will know about my identity very soon. It’s time
for them to suffer.

RISHI : Mihir…

MIHIR : No dad… I have watched enough. I will not tolerate it anymore. They have to suffer. I will free your life from that woman.

RISHI : Mihir I don’t want anything in my life now. I want you to have a good life.

MIHIR : I will dad… I will.

Mihir hugged his father, Rishi also reciprocated the hug.

Both father and son both were actually consoling each other by hugging.

In the Kapoor Mansion…

Gullu running towards everyone in the living room said something in his father, Kabir’s ear. Kabir was sitting beside Aniket so Aniket accidentally heard half of it.

ANIKET : what did you say???

Aniket got up from his sitting position hearing Gullu's words. Before Gullu could say
anything Aniket ran towards Anika’s room. Kabir also ran behind Aniket.
