Chapter - 16

Third Person’s POV

Ishaan arrived the house of Anika but he didn’t get the chance to talk properly with
Anika because Aniket has taken him to his (Aniket's) study room to talk.

When Ishaan entered Aniket’t study room, he was a little shocked as he didn’t expect anyone in the study room except Aniket but in the Study room including Aniket, Karan, Kabir and Rishi were also present.

“Now I understand why Anika uses the word interview all the time because it looks like I am going to give an interview” – thought in his mind seeing them in the room.

After everyone settled in the room there was still pin drop silence for some minutes. The four pair of eyes were observing Ishaan
like he is some criminal. Karan was the one who broke the silence.

KARAN : Ishaan….

ISHAAN : Yes. ( he answered like he was really giving an interview)

KARAN : I hope you already know or understand that Anika is very precious to us. Our every child is precious but Niki and Niti are more precious as they are the only girls in our family.

ISHAAN : yes.

KARAN : so of course, we have to scrutinize about the person whom our daughter like so much.

ISHAAN : Yes.

ANIKET : Do you know anything else other than yes??

Ishaan just looked quietly at Aniket with a smiling face but didn’t reply.

ANIKET : why are you smiling? Did I make any joke?

ISHAAN : No, I am smiling seeing the calmest person in the business world being irritated so fast. I always assumed and heard…but now I can see and feel it, you really love Anika a lot.

ANIKET : What do you mean?

KABIR : Aniket, let’s talk about the main thing first.

They have decided that they will tell Ishaan about Anika’s real identity. They have
checked Ishaan's background properly, and except for his mother, they are satisfied with
him. They think a life partner should know everything . So they have decided if
Ishaan will know then maybe he can protect Anika in future and if after knowing the truth he doesn’t want to continue the relationship then they will decide what can they do with Ishaan so that he doesn’t open his mouth in front of anyone.

RISHI : Yes… Ishaan, maybe you know me as a businessman or as the father of Mihir but I have another identity which I am ashamed of and also proud of, I don’t know about the feeling of that identity.

ISHAAN : I know.

All the four men looked at Ishaan confusingly hearing this.

KABIR : what do you mean, you know?

Ishaan : I know everything about Anika, everything about her identity. I know you’re her biological father.

Everyone was shocked to hear this information from Ishaan’s mouth. Many questions were circling their mind.

Almost at the same time, they asked – “how?”

ISHAAN : Mihir has told me everything. Mr. Kapoor, I have always admired you as a businessman, I wanted to become like you but after knowing everything from Mihir my goal changed… I don’t know if I will be a good businessman or not but I want to be a
a good husband and a good father like you. Don’t worry, I know even after her
marriage your protecting arms will be always there but my arms will be there too,
I will always protect Anika from all harm, sadness and every bad thing till my
death… I promise.

They all were impressed with Ishaan’s words but they were shocked to get the new
information that Mihir knows everything.

ANIKET : how does Mihir know, Rishi?

RISHI : I… I don’t know.

Rishi was very shocked to know that Mihir knows everything… ‘maybe he thinks of me as a criminal, a rapist. Maybe he doesn’t love me anymore, but why he didn’t say
anything to me?’ – all these kinds of questions were roaming around in Rishi's
head.

Seeing Rishi's expression Ishaan and everyone else understood how much shocked he was, getting the information.

ISHAAN : Don’t worry Mr. Ahuja, he doesn’t think of you as a criminal. He knows you had
done a crime but the love you have shown to him as a father, he is grateful for
that to you and he loves you very much. For him, you’re his only parents. Though
I am his client but I know him a little more personally than a client.

Tears started to fall from Rishi's eyes… he also loves his son, Mihir very much.
Sometimes he thinks he doesn’t deserve such a good child. He is very happy that
god has gifted him Mihir as his son.

Everyone was happy for Rishi. Sometimes wound dries over time and new skin is born. Here in Rishi’s case though they all have forgiven Rishi but their relationship
with him as not their friend but their children’s favourite Rishi uncle.

KABIR : Ishaan, does your mother know everything?

Hearing this question everyone looked towards Ishaan.

ISHAAN : No.

KABIR : then? Will you tell her?

The smile vanished from Ishaan's face.
