Eric's POV (The next morning, Elena and Jake's house)

Eric: She's still asleep - I sighed and entered the kitchen.

Anthony: And you're still surprised? Of course she knows he will cheat on her - He mumbled furiously - It's only a matter of time until we see an article about him fucking some whore.

Luka: Anthony... - He sighed.

Anthony: No, Luka - He said firmly and got up from the kitchen table - From the very beginning I was completely against their fucking relationship. I don't count how many times I warned Elena about this idiot, but she didn't listen to me and now, she has to bear the consequences. That's the real Danford.

Luka: No, it's not - He got up too and said firmly.

Anthony: Open your fucking eyes, Luka - He narrowed his eyes at him - You really so stupid that you believed in Danford's turning from a motherfucker to the perfect partner so fast? - He snapped his fingers - He was a motherfucker for 20 years and changed in three months? - He laughed - Please, stop this mockery and wake up from this wet dream. That's the reality and that's the real Danford. The sooner you accept it, the better.

Eric: Jake isn't like that and you know it, it's just... - I sighed.

Anthony: I never want to hear any single word about Danford ever again next to me, understood? - He turned to us and said firmly - I should have interfered a few months ago and take Elena from that fucking DIC by force just like I promised.

Luka: But you didn't, because you liked him after a while for God's sake! - He shouted furiously.

Anthony: I'll hear a word about Danford again after the trial and I will remove you from her life too, Luka - He said firmly and pointed at him - She can hate me for the rest of her life, but I don't give a shit about it. Elena should have never met him, she should have never accept the job in the DIC and she should have never been in the relationship with him. A few months ago I made a mistake that I will be regretting for the rest of my life, because I didn't interfere, but I won't make it for the second time. I'm not going to be submissive and passive anymore. I'm her father, whether you like it or not, and I won't let her suffer because of this whole shit again.

Then, he looked into Luka's eyes for a longer moment with his furious gaze, but then, he just left the kitchen and I think he left the house.

Luka: Great - He mumbled furiously, sat down again and grabbed his face - It's over. Of course he went to some club or something. He's over, it's over. When Anthony see any single article about Jake, he immediately will take Elena from the DIC.

Jasmine: Are you still surprised? - She laughed sarcastically and approached the window - I'm sorry, but he's her father, Luka. Of course he will do anything to protect her. He lost her once, he won't let this happen for the second time. You know Anthony. I'm still surprised that he was so submissive for all these months, really. Now, he won't give up. Not a fucking chance.

Luka: Why the fuck did he enter that fucking car? - He shouted furiously and threw the glass off the table - Everything was going so well! Even Anthony started liking him! And what? - He laughed sarcastically - Now, he'll lose everything because of his own stupidity and stubbornness!

Eric: We can't undo what happened - I sighed and I leaned against the table.

Luka: Elena will hate him, do you hear me? - He leaned against the table in front of me - Now, it doesn't matter if he regain his memory or not. It's too late, Eric. Elena will remember every his word, deed and betrayal.
