(S1, E12) "I REMEMBER, ELENA"

Elena's POV (The next morning, Elena and Jake's house)

As soon as I opened my eyes, my stomach twisted in a second. My head and my hand are lying on Eric's chest who is still sleeping and embracing me with one arm. So, we must have fell asleep during watching the movie, because TV is still turned on.

I was about to raise my head, but... I stayed like that for a little longer. That feeling is just... Amazing. I can feel his divine smell, I can feel and hear his heartbeat... I don't know why, but I really like that feeling. It's... Calming me down. That's why I closed my eyes again, smiled and gave myself to that pleasure again.

Thanks to Eric, I can stop for a moment and just enjoy the life which is around me. I'm grateful for that, really. Now, many things are happening in my life at once. It's nice to have such a break and just... Enjoy the moment.

After a while I felt he slightly moved. I smiled again and looked up at him, all the time resting my head on his shoulder.

Elena: Good morning, Sleeping Beauty - I smirked and looked into his eyes.

Eric: I see today you're the morning bird - He slightly laughed and started rubbing his face - Good morning, Maleficent. How do you feel?

Elena: I see that movie was pretty boring - I laughed.

Eric: Or we were just exhausted, because of your daughter? - He turned his face to mine and smiled - Now, you believe that she's a pure devil?

Elena: She's not that bad - I laughed again.

Eric: Oh, right - He started rubbing his forehead - I forgot it was me who went to her room like 10 times.

Elena: I knew you would be incredibly useful here, Eric Williams.

Eric: I hate you, Elena Gomez - He smirked and looked into my eyes.

Elena: You deserve coffee - I raised my head all the time looking at him.

Eric: Mhm, and you'll fill it with some poison, forget it.

Elena: I'm not that rude! - I laughed and hit his chest - That will be the best coffee you have ever drank, pinky swear.

Eric: I see someone here is in a good mood - He smiled and tucked my hair behind my ear.

When I felt his soft hand and touch next to my ear I closed my eyes, sighed and just... Zoned out.

Eric: I see I found your weak point - He smirked proudly.

Elena: Mhhmm - I lay down on his chest again and hugged him again.

I just heard and felt his slightly laugh, but he continued stoking me behind my ear slowly and gently. My goodness, that feeling is just... Amazing. All I can feel is his touch and all I can hear is his breathing and heartbeat.

Eric: You know we have to go, right? - He whispered to me and slightly laughed again.

Elena: No - I said firmly and put my hand on his mouth.

Eric laughed again but continued anyway. In the meantime, I felt that his heart started beating a bit faster.

Elena: See? - I raised my head and looked at him - Your heart wants to stay here as well.

Eric: Well... If I said no, I would be lying - He laughed - But my mind tell me that we have to the W&L, because it's your first day at work.

Elena: And will you listen to your heart or your mind? - I smirked and rested my chin on his chest.

Eric: Usually, I try to listen to both of them.
