Angst warning
"Alright Nance, we already scoped out his house. Although the fact that the door was ripped off its hinges and had claw marks on it should've been the first hint that he's long gone, not here at least."
Eddie slung the gun that Nancy had given to him before they embarked on their 'adventures' to find a very feral wolf-man.
"Say, Eddie, Where'd you learn your way around a gun from?"
Eddie glanced toward Robin.
"Well rob, my dad was a criminal, through and through. Got charged with grand theft auto, robbery at gun point. Shouldn't be a surprise he taught his 14 year old son how to use a fuckin' shotgun. Sicko wanted me to end up like him."
Robin shot him a glance of sympathy, although she was glad Nancy wasn't the only one who knew their way around lethal weapons. Robin didn't trust herself with a gun, loaded with silver bullets, so she wore a Kevlar vest, practically bulletproof and hopefully, claw and teeth proof.
She carried a hunting knife instead. She had learned how to throw one without slashing herself open, so she favored axes and knives instead of firearms.
She hated carrying weapons meant to hurt Steve, and had to remind herself that it was because he was basically a feral animal at the moment.
Eddie and Nancy hated the idea as well. They were as close, if not closer to steve than Robin.
Eddie glanced around the forest, smelling and listening. A slight trace of the musky scent of fur told him where to go. "This way." He led the girls further into the woods, and the reek of blood hit his nose. "Blood," alarmed, he crept, looking for the source of the warm, red, liquid.
He found it.
There lay a teenager, dressed in a bloodied Hawkins high school jacket. The white and green fabric was stained red. Parts were torn to reveal bleeding and exposed flesh. Although Eddie hated jason, his goons, and basically every jock who wore that stupid jacket, it was horrifying to see someone torn to shreds.
He could see bone poking through the ripped flesh on the teenagers legs, blood seeping into the ground. Broken twigs and scratched trees lay behind the corpse.
It told a story.
One of a rampant werewolf.
Robin and Nancy caught up to him, Robin immediately gagging, and Nancy covering her mouth with her hand.
"Did... did Steve do this?"
Eddie turned to Robin. "Looks and smells like it."
Although he seemed fairly calm on the outside, he was on the verge of tears. He knew Steve wouldn't do this.
But this isn't Steve, this is a monster. The one Steve had dreaded for a long, long time.
Eddie glanced back, seeing a name on the jocks jacket.
"Rest in peace jason carver. You were a good captain.
Eddie sighed. Jason was an asshole, but he wasn't sure if he deserved being split in half by the gate. Sure he'd caused Max's death, but it was an accident, right?
(I am NOT a jason apoligist, I hate him with my guts.)
Eddie had more important things to worry about.
They left the body behind, trekking along the path of trampled grass and broken tree limbs, plus a faint trail of blood.
They heard a scratching noise, and came to a halt.
Faint growling came from a small cleft before them.
It turned into a loud snarl, then a short squeal.
The trio was startled by a small rodent, a squirrel, Eddie presumed, bolting through the trees, a ravenous looking creature trailing it.
Steve harrington.

Only a few more chapters. I promise. This fic is gonna be really short but I never really meant to put too much effort into it anyway. I'll try to extend it to a little more than 20 chapters but idk.
