Nancy sat, Robin standing behind her.

Two gravestones sat side by side.

One read;

Steve harrington

1966 - 1987

"Don't be a hero. The hero doesn't always win."

the other read;

Eddie munson

1967-1987

"I didn't run away this time, right?"

Robin and Nancy began to walk away, holding the others hand.

☆☆☆

Eddie snapped awake.

"Ugh, that was the weirdest dream ever."

It was the day before they fought the demobats.

Eddie had dreamed it all, thinking about what could possibly happen if he died fighting those dreaded demobats. He was supposed to be the decoy for the plan.

The plan would take place later on, they had to get some weapons first.

It was all a dream.

Or was it a prophecy, a warning of some sort?

We'll never know.

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I just think the idea of eddie dreaming about everything, and then it actually happening, and then repeating itself over and over again, like the horror film, happy death day, is really interesting and horrifying. I wrote this whole fic taking inspiration from the movie, rewatching it multiple times, paying attention to every little detail. So basically Eddie's stuck in this loop, the whole gang is, and it's a dream, every time. Then it seems to actually happen, but turns out to be a dream again, and again, and again.
