Composing my voice and making myself comfortable.

"Thank you for this, its been a while since I laughed this much," I said not ready to stop as yet.

"Oh really," he replied not seeming to pry over my reasons.

"Glad to."

"Your not gonna ask why," I giggled again, impressed.

Then the door burst open and in stood.

None other than Caleb Reinard, who seemed angry and shocked at the sametime. Could be. I can't tell.

His so unreadable these days.

Today he kisses me, tomorrow his swoning over Lyla. I failed to get which is which. But I felt satisfied to know his alittle hurt by my sudden friendship skills.

"Hey!" shocked Zed. "Anything wrong?"

"Oh!" he seemed to first think before replying. "Nothing nothing, I was looking for Frayer."

"She's studying," I finally replied sounding like am getting rid of him and drawing back Zed to our conversation.

"Zed aren't you supposed to be touring the city with Father?" Caleb asked.

"I can pass that for another day, probably tomorrow. Can you come with me Amandi?" he said, shocking me. He knew my full name even.

"Yes," I said while I watched Caleb abit winse. "No, i think father wouldn't allow that."

Why did he really have to bring that up, of all days. I was beginning to forget about it and now he atturs it reminding me of my place here.

"And why do you think so?" Zee continued.

"She's the new bride."

"What!! she's only like sixteen."

"Eighteen," I corrected.

"But Father, this can't be. Amandi are you in support of this?" he said turning to me.

I was in loss for words. Caleb realized the place he had put me after mentioning that.

I stayed silent, looking to the floor. I was in loss for words.

"Am sorry Ama for bringing this up," Caleb said coming closer to me.

"Don't touch me," I screamed and tears started to flow down my cheeks. He then kept the distance.

"Am so sorry," he kept saying.

" Amandi I think I'll see you later," Zed walked to the door after seeing the atmosphere between Caleb and I.

I was relieved he had given us the ample time to talk and at the sametime, being with Caleb next to me hurt.

It brought back the past memories.

And the pain.

From the very start, to kissing Layla.

And now, his emotions we're just confusing, today his avoiding me and tomorrow he's staring at me. Following me around.

"Why do you have to always be the one who brings me pain?" I said between hiccups.

"Babe...."

"Don't babe me," I said turning to face him.

"What did I do?" Caleb continued.

" You already know," I replied, really angry that he wasn't even able to admit his in wrong.

Its best to confess and all gets back to normal. But what place do I have to demand answers from him.

"Okay please remind me Ama, I will surely apologize," he begged. " Am really sorry to cause you pain Ama."

I stood watching the window not wanting to even see his deceitful stares right now.

For however time, I didn't hear him leave the room even.

And just like that, he was gone.

I sobbed. Why was this so painful to bare.
