It was now Christmas eve and I was expecting to see my family soon. I was permitted to go spend Christmas home.

How excited I was to even think of it. I missed mother so much, Lucha. It had been almost a full year without seeing them.

I missed helping mother cook, tend to the farm, all the household duties.

Packing my bags I hummed as Frayer dressed the bed.

And it had been four months since Kaffo was called in sick and he wasn't recovering as word said. I didn't get to see Caleb at any one point.

He had drawn himself away from me completely, maybe dodging to see me.

And I felt the relief of leaving all those problems behind to see my family. It was a break from all these.

"Am going to miss you," Frayer said.

"Same here dear one,"I said, excited.

"I would like to come with you," I could feel the sorrow in her tone. "There's nothing to live for here."

"I could take you along with me but Father wouldn't like that, he is a harsh man."

"Yes yes, fine."

That evening,I didnt get to see Caleb or Zed any where, so I didn't make my goodbyes known to them. My carriage already stood waiting for me outside.

My bags we're raised into the carriage as I made myself comfortable at the front seat with Fred as the rider.

"So it was you Miss?" he asked. I had even forgotten about our tail tale.

"Yes am the bride," I replied looking outside.

"Oh am so sorry for making you uncomfortable way back."

We proceeded our journey as I watched the trees fade, the moors coming to view then trees. These entire place was deserted and having no trace of people inhabiting.

Word has it that the area has wolves that have killed hunters over the years.

These brought goosebumps to my skin as the journey became endless and tiresome.

"But now that Kaffo is sick, your not going to be off much use anymore," Fred blurted out, shocking me.

"What! I won't be returning?" I couldn't think of missing Frayer, Caleb, Zed. Oh no.

"No I meant. I heard you we're so against going to the City so no one will be pushing you to go back since Kaffo is now sick," he elaborated.

"I see," I replied "what is he suffering from?"

"I don't know."

As we continued our journey, I could see trace of houses coming by. We were almost there.

The excitement I had inside me.

I missed Lue so much. We had so much to catch up on now that he was dating Frayer.

In his letters, he seemed extremely happy being with Faye and I was happy for them. He kept talking about her endlessly.

Oh my that's love.

The same to her, every single day, she talked of Lue. How charming he was and kind.

I even didn't know Lue was that good with words. He could write words upon words explaining about something that is small to me but exciting to Frayer. I could see her giggle non stop.

Love is beautiful when you love the right person.
