"Hi, this is Chastity Andrews. I'm looking for a roommate. Message me if you're interested."

It's been weeks and I'm still trying to find a roommate. My luggage is set, clothes, personal necessities, some food and books are packed neatly in my bag. My father doesn't want me to stay alone in the dorm, he gets paranoid and worried with the idea of me staying alone in a dorm in my university. I maybe eighteen, turning nineteen this year, but he still has that protective side for me, which I appreciate.

Even if I don't want to live in a dorm, considering I have to buy or bring my own food, but some part of me will miss my father a lot. It's been only him and I for the past six years since my mother died. He was my rock and I was the reason why he still works and live by my side. Also, the main reason he got me a dorm is that, my university is four hours away from our house. Its the nearest and the best school near the state. He can't leave the house because his work is assigned in here, without his work, I wouldn't be going to this exclusive university I'm going to.

I went downstairs when my stomach decided to grumble and it should be fed. I descend the stairs exhaustingly because I still can't find a roommate, first semester starts next Monday, I'm starting to cram.

"What?" My father's voice boomed through out the kitchen. Maybe its about his work. "Why are you saying this to me when school starts this Monday?" Or probably about my dormitory. "No, my daughter needs the room, we live far away from the area," He professionally explained to the person on the other line. "What are your other options?"

I found a granola bar in the cupboard and decided to eat it, we haven't made dinner or ordered. Since my mother died, my father practiced to learn how to cook. It was hard, he has to balance work, house chores and finances. He doesn't want to get a helper. He wanted to be an all-around-dad.

"Sure, I'll take that," I stayed silent, pretending to be innocent from their conversation. "I'll tell it to her." With that, he ended the call and looked at me.

"I guess you heard it,"

"Obviously." I cocked my eyebrow at him and smiled.

"Your school called saying they can't accommodate you anymore and the dormitories are all occupied." He ranted while sitting on the stool of the island counter. "I got mad. Firstly, I reserved you a slot. Secondly, I already had a downpayment for the room itself and lastly, I got you a floor with all girls in it."

"'What's the other option?" I air quoted.

"They will find a room with only one occupant. Almost all of them has a roommate."

"So, I'm not the one who will own the room?"

"Yes, don't worry I'll find you a girl roommate or you'll have to live alone."

"I'm okay with that." I nodded.

"And I'm gonna hire a bodyguard outside your door." My father added. He can never let me alone in the dormitory. He wanted to rent the whole room and I'm gonna find a person to share it with, but it turns out that I'll be the one to live with someone. Hopefully, a nice girl who doesn't bring boys home.

"Chast," My father called from downstairs. I got out of my room and looked for my dad. "I found you a roommate."

"Finally!" I let out a sigh and he showed me the details of the room and my roommate messages by the school itself. Shay Darwin, the name of the person occupying the room. Its already Saturday and I'm going to the campus tomorrow, a day before classes starts.

"Remember what I told you?" My father asked. Before he told me he's getting me a dormitory at the university, he gave an hour lecture about how to behave and how to act around with people and whom to join with.
