Hoseok and Yoongi entered the HYBE building, not having to go into the elevator as Jin was already waiting at the receptionists' desk.

"Thank goodness you're here." He had a file in hand, walking over to the lounge area to spread it over the table. "Lee Yongbok pleaded innocent at his trial."

Yoongi frowned. "Why would he do that? He was literally directly linked to the crime."

Jin looked as though he was going to add on, but something in the file caught Hoseok's eye. A mugshot. "Wait– that's the guy who was saying that he was innocent when we saw him last year!"

"You– wait, you're right." Yoongi squinted at the picture. "But why would he be at the masquerade, then? Why would we believe that he's innocent?"

Jin huffed, sifting through a few more pages before finding the information on the group of criminals they had previously arrested.  "Isn't it a little odd? We have all these men being arrested in their 30s and up, then a random high school student? When he was being questioned he seemed to have no idea of anything happening. Really, our evidence is his initials. I know I shouldn't be saying this, but I think he's innocent. There would be no way to know what was going on at their school– you guys didn't even know what was going on in Room 222 until we brought you down there."

"Okay, you have a point." Yoongi still sounded a bit unconvinced. "I'm just frustrated that this is so complicated."

"We have solid evidence for the others, thanks to Got7." Hoseok took the information pages from Jin. "But Yongbok seems... different. He acts innocent, but that might not be an act."

The older detective huffed. "This should've been an open-and-shut case."

Jin shook his head. "Sometimes, it isn't that easy."
