Yoongi yawned. He'd been sitting in the common room for well over an hour now, unable to spend time in his office alone with nothing going on. It was a slower day. It wasn't like there were any developments on the case to care about. He just sat in the office with Hoseok, Soonyoung, and Jinyoung, hoping for something to happen.
He turned to Hoseok. "Do you think-"
He was cut off by the door bursting open, slamming against the little doorstop at the foot of the wall. Mark and Jihoon entered the room in a flurry of papers and a light layer of sweat. "Fuck, guys, we found the real L.Y.B."
"Shit." Hoseok stood up, the others following suit. "Is this just information for you to know or...?"
"No, look." Jihoon opened the folder he was holding, spreading out the multiple printed screenshots out onto the desk. "Mark plugged me into the system and we were able to scan through all the emails that mention him. Right here, they mention Lee Yeong Been by name multiple times. They establish him as L.Y.B and continue using that from then on."
"That's not all," Mark added. "We looked more into his account and sure enough, he was also a part of the school board until he quit right before Felix was arrested. And that was the last email he sent to JYP."
Yoongi was already on his laptop, typing up an email to Johnny and Jaehyun. "This is exactly what we were missing. All we need is that footage and we might actually be able to turn this around."
Soonyoung walked up to Jihoon, squeezing him in a tight hug. "You're actually the best."
"This is actually crazy," Jinyoung muttered. "This is actually- I can't believe it."
Yoongi sent his email, setting down the laptop. "This is everything we needed."
"I know, right?" Jihoon sighed. "It was tiring, but it was worth it."
Yoongi picked up his laptop again, refreshing his emails just to see something.
"Oh." Yoongi looked in his inbox. "I've got an answer."
"Already?" Hoseok asked. "What did they say?"
Yoongi looked at the laptop screen. "They can't wait to hear it."
