On a dark, moonless night one lonesome man in a well tailored suit and bright blonde hair walked through the streets of Jump City. He clutched his brief case tightly in his hand as he squeezed through the crowded streets in a hurry. He quickly turned into a dark alley to escape the crowds with a sigh of relief. He only made it half way down the alley before he was stopped in his tracks with a fearful gasp.

Ten men, clad in leather and armed with laser rifles and electric batons stepped into the alley and surrounded the man from both sides. They grinned threateningly as they moved closer, taking aim at the man with their weapons.

"Looks like you've finally taken the wrong turn." One of them said in a deep voice. "Hand over the brief case and maybe we'll leave your face alone when we're done."

"No please, have mercy!" The man said, dropping to his knees. "I'll do anything. I'll sign over the buildings to you. I-Ill pay you whatever you want."

The leader of the gang shared devious grins with his subordinates before aiming his weapon at the man's head. "After all the trouble you put us through? Nah. We're gonna have some fun with you."

"Hey guys!" Another voice called cheerfully from above as a thin line of webbing stuck to the barrel of the rifle and ripped it straight up into the air.

They all looked up in confusion to see Spiderman stuck sideways to the wall above their heads.

"Ten against one?" He said, webbing three more of the rifles into the air. "With laser rifles? You guys compensating for something?"

He backflipped over over heads as three of them swung upward at him, throwing sparks of electricity everywhere. Peter landed behind three of them and tripped them all with a single sweeping kick. As he stood he shot a web at the wall behind him as three more charged at him. Then he turned and caught another guy by the wrist, before he could get hit with a baton. Suddenly the web he shot at the wall exploded, sticking the other three men to the wall.

"Hah! Web grenade!" Peter called out, proudly. "Gotta say I missed them!"

Peter suddenly backflipped, narrowly dodging a blast from the last rifle. The other men charged at him, swinging up at him as much as they could as he flipped and dodged more blasts along the wall. Then he landed in the middle of the alley and shot a web line at the riflemans face and pulled him into the rest of the group. Then he quickly disarmed the last of the batons. The last seven men all punched and kicked at Peter from all sides, but he was too fast. He blocked, punched, and kicked them all without taking a single hit, before finally throwing them all into each other. Then he shot them with web after web until they were all stuck together against the ground.

"Next time." Peter said to them. "I suggest paying with money. Works every time." Peter turned to look for the victim and check on him, but the man was long gone. "I guess no thanks this time." He said to himself as he jumped upward and swung away.

He swung higher and higher until he reached a tall skyscraper and ran up up side of it until he reached the roof and sat on the corner looking out over the city. He took in the peaceful scenery for a moment, allowing himself to catch his breath.

However it was not long before his communicator began to ring in his ear. He pressed the button to accept the call and Robin's voice came through on the other end.

"Titans." He said. "We've got trouble. Someone's wreaking havoc at the video store. Let's go!"

Peter peered out over the city and could clearly see the dome shaped roof of the video store at least twenty blocks away.

"I got eyes on it." Peter said over his comm. "I'll meet you guys there!" He replied doing a front flip off the roof and swinging towards the objective.
