Peter woke the next morning with a start. The realization that the next day had come, immediately sent him into a panic. He hadn't thought of a single concrete idea for his so called 'date' with Raven. He jumped out of bed, pacing back and forth in front of his bed.

He couldn't think of anything he thought she would enjoy. Normally his plan would be to take a girl to dinner, or a movie, or even the fair. However, something told him that wasn't Raven's cup of tea.

Tea!

She liked tea!

He nodded his head as he made a mental note to not only brew some tea, but also learn how to make it correctly, which shouldn't be too difficult. The only thing he could think of that she would possibly enjoy would be a quiet picnic like he though the night before, but even that seemed like something she would find pretty lame. He mainly wanted to spend some quality time with her, so it seemed like the best idea. He would have to go into the city to pick up the supplies.

He immediately threw on his suit, so as to save himself some time and marched out toward the exit. He passed Robin, Cyborg, and Beastboy lounging on the couch. They all turned around, looking at him in confusion.

"Hey where you going?" Cyborg laughed at Peter's frantic march.

"Must be late to climb the water spout, am I right?" Beastboy nudged Robin, but got only a cringe.

"Sorry guys, can't talk right now." He said, nearly tripping over his words. "Got some things to take care of, I'll see you later!"

He sprinted out the door and swung into the city. He ended up buying a basket, like he always saw in the movies, as well as an assortment of fruit and drinks sandwiches. Though he didn't know the shop, it looked good enough to him. His presence in full costume in these stores sent the customers into a frenzy of excitement.

"Hey that's the new teen Titan!"

"That's Spider-Man!"

It truly felt nice to be appreciated as a hero again by the public, rather than feared. He didn't care about a reward or anything, it mostly just hurt to think of all he did to save people and have them think he was going to hurt them. Peter didn't want to hurt anybody, so seeing people excited for Spiderman again made his day.

He returned to the tower hours later with his haul in hand and stored everything in his room. Next he just had to make the tea, which he decided to put in a thermos to keep it hot. Although when it came to actually making the tea, he ended up wasting two whole pots before finally following the instructions correctly.

He breathed a sigh of relief as he finished his final task. He went through his closet and pulled out a fresh pair of clothes and took to the shower. As he cleaned himself he kept thinking about what he was doing. He was about to go on a date. He was about to open himself up again, and he didn't know if he was ready. Raven, however, seemed to make him feel better. Around her, Peter Parker and Spiderman felt like the same person. Around her he felt like he was truly welcome instead of a liability. He wouldn't have gotten this level of understanding from anybody else. It was because of this that Peter cared so much about making this date as good as he could.

He did it for her.

She was there for him, but he wanted to be there for her just as much. He didn't just want a date, he wanted her to enjoy herself most of all. He ignored his nagging, shameful feeling, and it honestly wasn't very hard anymore. As he finished his shower and began to dry off the thought was pretty much completely gone, and instead replace with her.

Before he knew it the sun had began to go down and it was nearing dinner time. Peter eyed himself up and down, Making sure he didn't forget anything. Not too dressy, but not too casual either. That was good, after all it was just a beach picnic.
