Chapter 9: High End

"How is Hawks agency treating you since you've been back?" Mirko asks

"Oh, You know Hawks! There is never a dull moment with him." Y/N beams

Mirko invited Y/N out to have a late lunch since Mirko has been wanting some girl time with her.

"So Hawks?" Mirko says with a devious smile

Y/n knowing exactly what she means by that

"What about Hawks?" Y/n says trying to play it off

"I saw the way he looked at you at the event," Mirko says, "and he never looked at Mnt Lady that way."

Y/n trying to ignore the Mnt Lady comment by taking a drink of her water

"Hawks is a really good friend of mine, we grew up and - "

"And blah blah blah, just say you like him! Admit it Y/N" Mikro says mocking Y/N

"I can't bring myself to say it. I love him, of course. We have been by each other's sides since we were 5 years old, but I left...and now I feel like I'm just starting to get to know him again." Y/N says with a frown on her face "I was gone a while and I have no idea if he feels the same, Mirko."

"Y/N look what is on the news!" Mirko shouts

Y/N looks at the tv and sees that Endeavor and Hawks were fighting off a Nomu at the restaurant Hawks and her ate at the first night she came back.

"Look! Those Flames're still rising up! You see them right! Endeavor's alive and fighting! So dont give up just cuz the other guy's gone! There's still a dude out there risking his life for all of us! Can't you see!" The young boy shouted

"Shit Mirko! We have to go over and help them!" Y/N shouts

Mirko and Y/n run out the door,

"Are you able to fly yet?" Mirko asks Y/N

"Yea, Come on!" Y/n grabs around Mirko waist as they fly towards Hawks and Endeavor on the other side of the city

"That was a nomu?! I thought they couldn't fly?" Y/N yells thinking about what she seen on the TV

"It's the League! They have been making them and they change their location so we can never track them" Mirko says

"Look, there they are!" Mirko says, pointing up at the sky.

Y/N sees Hawks feathers attaching onto Endeavors back as he rushes towards the flying Nomu

Endeavor is taking the Nomu higher and higher up into the sky, burning up the Nomu.

"He doesn't have to hold back up there." Y/N says

Suddenly there is a huge flame in the sky...

"ENDEAVOR IS FALLING! WE HAVE TO CATCH HIM!" Y/N yells to Mirko

Thud!

Endeavor is standing tall with his right fist in the air, everyone who was nearby can be heard cheering as Endeavor had defeated the Nomu.

"Looks like we came a little too late," Y/N says to Mirko

Y/N and Mirko try to go check on Endeavor and Hawks but there is a sudden blue fire surrounding Hawks and Endeavor.

"This flame is like the one from the explosion. This is someones quirk" Y/n thinks to herself

She hears a familiar voice in the circle of fire.

"Aw, No need for Heroics, the only reason I'm here is to retrieve my fallen nomu! I mean, no way I can win this fight unless the top 2 heroes are already bloodied and beaten already!  " the familiar voice yells,

Y/N flies over the blue fire and Mirko jumps over it

Mirko does a kick that tears the ground apart, "We saw the news and hopped over. Patchwork, you're part of the league, huh? I'll kick your ass."

Y/N flies by Hawks and Endeavors side. Face to face with the villain.

"Dabi?" Y/N says in shock

"Oh man, things were just getting good." Dabi shocked to see Y/N, "Sorry you had to find out this way, Angel. I'll be in touch."

"Angel?" Hawks thinks back to the flowers and the note, "Y/N knows Dabi!?"

Hawks looks over at Y/N to see her face in disbelief

"Do it, Ujiko. See you later, Angel. I'm sure we will have a heart to heart someday." Dabi says melting into a black ooze "As for you, No.1 try not to disappoint and don't you dare die ENJI TODOROKI!" Dabi demanded

"TELL US WHERE YOUR FRIENDS ARE!" Mirko says as she kicks the ooze, "Vanished. It's the same as when they bounced out of Kamino"

Hawks and Y/N help Endeavor stand on his feet

"Whatever the case. We managed to stop that juiced up Nomu." Hawks says

"Idiots. This is just the beginning." Endeavor says

The ambulance came and took Endeavor to the nearest hospital.

Y/N and Hawks fly back to the agency as Mirko went to go back out to search for the league.

Hawks and Y/N heading to the agency floor, not saying one word to each other. Hawks sidekicks are out helping with damage control that the Nomu has caused to the city. They returned to an empty building.

"Now you are going to tell me how the hell you know Dabi?" Hawks says in a demanding voice

"I told you the first time. He was the stranger in the alley and when I went downtown to go eat, He seen me. He approached me first!" Y/n pleaded, "I had no idea who he was, you and the hero commission failed to tell me all about the League of Villains! Do you even trust me?!" Y/N says walking away from him, He grabs her hand making her stop and turn around to face him.

"How can I trust you when you didn't tell me you knew Dabi? You failed to mention his name! You were gone for 6 years! How do I not know you aren't part of their League?" Hawks snapped

"How dare you, Keigo? I'm not part of their fucking league." Y/N says in disbelief at the words coming out of his mouth, "As for leaving, I left because you didn't want me to stay." tears welling up in her eyes, "you didn't want me to stay." She repeated the words, feeling like a gut punch to Hawks stomach, "the person I love didn't fight for me to stay, so I had no choice but to leave."

Y/N jerks her hand out of his and starts to walk away from him, opening the elevator doors and heading to her apartment.

"Of course I wanted you to stay, Y/N,  because I love you too." Keigo says to an empty room
