Chapter 51: Like Icarus

"Y/N?" Mirko waves her hand in front of Y/N face, "You okay in there?" Mirko taps her forehead. Y/N and Mirko have been training back and forth between Endeavor and All Might twice a day. In the AM they are at Endeavors and in the PM they are at All Might tower training.

"Yeah sorry I was just thinking about something."

"A scarred up bastard wouldn't have anything to do with it, would he?" Mirko says kicking the punching bag. Y/N rolls her eyes and manifests a combination of weapons into one.

"Damn, you're like a fairy with all that gold dust in your hand." Mirko jokes, "a cute ass fairy but super fucking deadly."

"Since I've moved to Japan, I just feel like I've been a weak bitch." Y/N complains as she keeps manifesting different types of weapons trying to turn them into one.

"How is everything going with Hawks?" Mirko asks as she punches the punching bag

"I haven't been responding to his messages." Y/N admits feeling guilty, "But he and I do need to talk." Y/N stops and sits down

"Speak of the devil." Mirko and Y/N turn to see the door to the training open and Hawks walks in

"That's my cue to go." Mirko grabs her bag and leaves quickly. Y/N realizes that Mirko set her up.

Y/N looks at Hawks feeling the tension between the two.

"Hey, Baby bird." Hawks says, "Mirko told me you would be here." Y/N can't look at Hawks because she feels so guilty.

"I figured she did." Y/N says coldly, "Keigo..."

"No, let me start..." Hawks says, "I'm sorry. For everything." Y/N can feel how sorry he truly is about it all, "You asked me if anything was going on between me and Mnt. Lady and at first there wasn't anything going on but after Mirko and I rescued you...I-I turned to her."

Y/N feels her heart shattering

"After what I saw, I was truly hurt." Keigo says, "and that is no excuse for what happened because you had no idea what was going to happen. You thought you were going to die that day."

"Keigo..." Y/N voice trembles, "I'm sorry for everything that has happened. I really am because you do not deserve the things I put you through." she continues, "I think we do need a break."

Keigo's heart shatters at the words.

"This just proves that we aren't ready for marriage." Y/N says, "what we did to each other just proves that we are still just two immature kids who need room to grow." Keigo gets closer to Y/N. She sees the tears well up in his eyes.

"You-you don't want to try and work it out?" Keigo asks

"How can we?" Y/N asks, truly curious at his answer

Keigo is left speechless

"I'm sorry Keigo but right now just proves it's not the right time." Y/N tries to walk away and Keigo grabs her hand

"Please..." Keigo begs, "Please don't go."

"We don't know what we want." Y/N says quietly, "I'll still fight alongside and work with you but we can't be together." Y/N pulls her hand away and leaves the training room in tears.

Y/N walks into Mirko's place

"How did it go with Hawks?" Mirko asks as she makes her protein shake.

"Fine." Y/n answers

"Just fine?"

"I think we are too immature to be together." Y/N buries her face in her hands, "We obviously can't decide on what we want in this relationship or who we want."
