Levi

When we heard Roan was being tracked, I started to get irritated.

We were doing nothing

We had just been sitting here waiting for Grade B to get back.

And there were still five more weeks till that happened.

I wanted to go out and kill that son of a bitch so we could finally have a moment to ourselves.

"Well, we can't really do anything," Dakota explained after I had complained, running his fingers through my hair as I sat propped up against the bed. "We can't fight the general head-on; he's got reinforcements. Plus, he's on the road chasing Roan now. And we can't help Roan or Ezra because we don't know where the threat is, and we need to be here in case anything happens at our old facility. Same with Sparrow and Josiah."

I tilted my head back to look at him.

"But we are being bumps on a log."

Atlas, who had his face shoved in a pillow, grumbled in agreement.

My phone chimed, and I checked the screen to see it was a snap from Tom.

I sighed and opened it.

Big T: 41.8781 N, 87.6298 W.

37.7749 N, 122.4194 W.

33.4484 N, 112. 0740 W

"What's that?" Dakota asked.

"Coordinates?" I guessed.

Poseidon: ???

Delivered...

I copied and pasted the first coordinate into my search bar

Chicago, Illinois

I did the same with the next two.

San Francisco, California, and Pheonix, Arizona.

"They're coordinates for Chicago, San Francisco, And Pheonix," I explained. "Just a bunch of... a bunch of big cities."

My brain reeled.

Another text from Tom came through—

Big T: 7 45 PM tmrw bomns IL

3:25 PM NXT day CA

5 PM 3rd day AZ

"What are bomns?" Dakota asked, peering at our messages.

"A typo," I breathed. "Bombs."

His hands stilled in my hair.

Atlas peeked up from the pillow. "What?"

I clutched my phone tightly. "They are bombing again."

I cursed myself, feeling I had somehow brought this on with my mind.

When I complained about doing nothing, I meant doing nothing to help our boyfriends! Not three big cities!

"We should tell the other three," Dakota whispered sadly. "And message F.I."

I nodded slowly, feeling like there really was no escape from the General— In either dreams or the waking world, he and his decisions would haunt us.

"I'll go tell the others. Do one of you want to message F.I?" I asked.

Atlas grabbed his phone and started typing. "I'll do it."

I got up and started for the door.

"Levi," Dakota said once my hand was on the handle. "Are we... going to help?"
