"Drive, drive, drive!"

"Shit, the other van just popped a tire!"

"We need to keep going!"

"Dakota, Delta, and Lyla are in there!"

I groaned, and soft hands were immediately on my face. 

"Are you awake, sweetheart?" Atlas asked hurriedly. 

"What's happening?"

I opened my eyes and saw about four pairs of foreign eyes on me. 

"We stole a van."

I looked around and ignored my pounding head. Atlas was hovering above me, and there were like seven people who I didn't know sitting around me. 

"Who-"

We hit a bump, and Atlas fell on top of me, and as much as I enjoyed his tits in my face, I kind of wanted to breathe.

"Atlas," I mumbled after he didn't move for a while. 

"Oh, sorry," he said, sitting up again and helping me get upright. 

When I was squished against him, a scared-looking girl moved off the floor and sat next to me for a more comfortable seat. 

"Who's this?" I asked. 

"Uh..." Atlas trailed, looking like he was focusing on something. "I don't know."

"That's Freya!" pipped up a guy from the back. 

I looked at him and recognized his face from the Walmart that I thought I died in. 

"Quarter guy?" 

"Actually, my name is-"

"Shut up!" I'm trying to focus!" Hattie yelled up front. 

Her hair was out of its usual ponytail, and she had a bunch of dirt all over her face. 

It made her look less like a... Boring. 

"The other van is slowing down!" she screamed. 

"Fuck fuck fuck!" Atlas panicked. 

"What is happening?" I asked again, feeling the panic settle in. 

Atlas paused and looked at me. 

"We stole a couple of vans from the General's guys. They aren't very happy about it."

"Wait, something is... something's coming up," Hattie breathed.

"What?" Atlas asked hurriedly. 

"Holy shit," Hattie mumbled, "What the hell is that?"

I looked out the back window, and my heart lept with joy as I saw the creepiest, giant, static figure running right for us. 

Atlas laughed with glee. 

"He's here!"

"Holy shit," I breathed. 

Because I knew Roan was somewhere within the Darkness— I could feel the rage roiling off him.

The Darkness seemed to phase through the vehicles behind us, and they skid to a stop.

I observed as a driver got out and curled up on the ground, trembling with fear. 

Roan's giant, creepy thing continued working through the vans, making them all stop or drive off the side of the road.

"It's Roan!" Atlas yelled, climbing over the poor guy stuck on the floor.
