The days passed in a blink. Soon it's been a full week since the three have arrived.

Ivy and Elvin were walking through the market. They were buying food for the next couple nights. Though it was mostly Elvin. Ivy was too busy looking at the souvenirs.

"I have everything," Elvin said after two hours of shopping.

Ivy nodded and the two headed back to the house in silence. That was until they reached the hut and there were angry murmurs coming from within.

"I'm not leaving!" Anton's voice rang throughout the air. "We've already been through this! Ivy needs me."

"Ivy could care less about you, boy," Serena's voice called.

Ivy looks over at her father who looks concerned for the well-being of his house. Nevertheless the people inside yelling at one another.

"You don't know Ivy," Anton said. "Not like I do."

"Really? Enlightening me."

"Do you know her real name?" It was silent. "Her father spoke it and you still don't know?"

"I don't answer to my son. She was a tag-along. Nothing more."

"She's more to me, mother. I won't let you do this to her, or me."

The door opens and Anton exits. Slamming the door behind him. He stops short once he notices Ivy and Elvin standing there.

He doesn't say anything, instead he just heads into the forest.

"I should go check on him," Ivy says.

"Of course," Elvin said. "I'll go deal with Serena."

Ivy followed the direction Anton went in. She stopped when she saw he was sitting on a rock. Shadows maneuvering around him.

Within seconds, he was consumed by his own creation.

Ivy let out a sigh. He's pushing himself. Seeing how long it takes before he gets scared and drops the act.

I won't let him be alone.

Without another thought, Ivy pulls the light void of heat towards her. Once she felt it, and had a good grasp at the light, she pushed it towards Anton's demons.

The shadows swallowed it whole as per usual. The light swimming with the shadows. A beautiful creation.

"Adora," Anton spoke. The shadows disappeared. Ivy dropped the light.

"Aleksander," Ivy said, sitting down next to him.

"You heard all that, didn't you?" Ivy nodded. "I'm sorry. You weren't supposed to."

"I'm fine, but are you alright?"

Anton just shrugged his shoulders. He looked like wanted to say more, but didn't know where to begin.

"Thank you," Ivy said to him. "For not giving up on me."

"Even if I tried, I don't think I could," he responded.

The two looked at each other. Love, sadness, excitement, pleading, and loss shimmered in their eyes.

Anton slowly started to lean in but thought differently.

He wanted to kiss me, Ivy's thoughts whispered.

Ivy couldn't help it anymore. She knew what she felt. She believed in herself. Life didn't work out between her parents, but that doesn't mean it can't work between them.

Ivy pulls Anton in for a kiss.
