Serena told Ivy and Anton where to meet. It was too suspicious if the three of them were caught on the run, but just two, it'll look like running from the town. Not what's coming to town.

"This way," Anton said before disappearing into the darkness.

Ivy tried to follow after, but in the fry of trying to get away, she lost him.

"Anton?" she called out.

The only answer was the sound of the night breeze. Sometimes a bird screeched. She called out again. Same response.

Ivy walked deeper into the forest, straining her ears to listen to anything and everything. The grass under her feet, the wind in the air, bird's flying around.

"Run!" Anton's voice screeched.

He's in trouble.

Ivy took off towards his voice. She didn't care if the King's men were around. She didn't care if they were after her. She didn't care about her life.

She only wanted to help Anton. Save him from whatever is holding him back. If she has to risk her life to do that, then she will.

She stopped short the moment she saw ten men in army uniforms. Two were holding Anton's arms. One stood in front of him while the other held rifles towards him.

"Where is the Moon Summoner?" the man in front asked.

Anton didn't reply.

"She must be around here somewhere, or you wouldn't have screamed."

Anton stayed silent.

"Well, if you're not going to be any help." The man raised his hand. The soldiers holding the rifles ready themselves. "I have no use for you."

Anton struggled to get out of their grasp. The soldiers just tighten their grip, waiting for orders from their general.

They're going to kill him.

Ivy closed her eyes and focused on the moonlight around her. Serena taught her the Cut long ago. Ivy has mastered it in her spare time, but never has she used it in a life or death situation.

Now's not the time to panic, her thoughts reminded her.

In an instant, a soldier who was standing tall awaiting orders fell to the ground. Half his torso was cut in half.

The soldiers panicked. The two holding Anton released him, going for their guns.

"Run!" Ivy yelled. "I'm right behind you."

As Ivy turned to run, three soldiers cut her off. Before she had time to react, a chain clamped around her wrists.

Ivy was caught.
