Picking up the helpless kid from the ground, Shen Qingqiu was in a daze. How could a kid look exactly like you ? Yes ofcourse until you had papapa and forgot to pull out. But Shen Qingqiu hasn't even grabbed the wrist of a lady.

Shen Qingqiu was wondering what to do with the kid when he realised that he should take the kid to Qian Cao peak for treatment. The poor little thing must've some broken bones by the way those kids were beating him.

He was about to take out his Xiu Ya sword when he suddenly realised that what if this kid's parents were looking for him ? He decided to stay in an inn for a while till the kid woke up and after that, he would ask him questions.

I opened my eyes and looked around. It looked like some kind of room. I tried to wake up but couldn't because of the pain that struck me like a truck. It was as if someone pushed me from the 13th storey of a building. When i tried to sit up, a hand was placed at my back as if helping me to sit up.

I looked at the right side of the bed and noticed a beautiful man wearing green robes. He had a fan in his hand and his hair were a silky black colour.

The man must've seen me staring at him when he said "You were unconscious on the ground and i couldn't leave you there like that, but since i couldn't take you with me, i brought you here" he finished saying this and left the room without hearing anything from me.

"Where even am i?"

I heard a weird sound and there was this blue floating window in front of me.

"What are you? And what system? Didn't i die while reading a novel?"

I pondered over what the system has just said. So this whole thing is like an open world RPG game huh ? It sounds interesting so why not try it.

"Woah woah woah, you're telling me i need to be friends with the scum villain ? Are you serious ? I'll end up just like him at the end if i do that"

That's right. At the end of the novel, the protagonist turned the scum villain into a human stick, so having a good relation with him will end up me being the protagonist's enemy too. Nope. Im not doing this shit.

The door suddenly opened and there cam the scumbag with something in his hand. "Here. Now i need you to answer my questions." He gave me the thing and sat on the bed. Looking at what he gave me, it looked like some kind of medicine ? Maybe painkiller or something.

I was shocked that he even helped me get out of those kid's claws and now this.... isn't he too nice for being a scumbag ? But really..... looking at him, no one can tell that he's a fucking scumbag with no sense of respect. He's got a beautiful face with a sharp jawline, silky black hair, a pair of beautiful green eyes and skin like that of milk...

I didn't notice that i was staring at him until he cleared his throat. "Uhm, so what's your name?" ....should i tell him my real name ?

"Shen Yuan" i said and i think i saw his eyes widen a bit.

"Oh, how old are you and where are your parents ?"

After all the enquiry was done, Shen Qingqiu got a weird feeling in his chest. He couldn't tell what it exactly was...was it pity? No..he could never pity someone or was it a sense of security ? Did he want to protect this child ? He could not comprehend his thoughts.

After pondering over the thoughts, he said "Come on brat, we need to go somewhere" he got up and was about to leave the room when suddenly he heard a thud sound.

He turned around and saw the kid falling face down. He sighed "you surely do love the ground so much, huh" he came towards the child and picked him up. Surely it was weird for Shen Yuan because this was not the Shen Qingqiu he was reading about in the novel. He thought "oh my god, did you hit your head somewhere? How are you so nice?"

It was weirder for Shen Qingqiu. From where is he getting all these feelings from ? He looked at the child in his arms and saw Shen Yuan passing a beautiful smile towards him. Feeling his heart getting softer, he turned his face forward and went outside the inn.

He took out Xiu Ya and stood on it, Shen Yuan still in his arms. He started flying in the air when he saw the little guy in his arms trembling. "What is it ?" He asked, if you looked in his eyes carefully, you could clearly see the look of concern.

"Nothing, it's just...im scared of heights, sir" Shen Yuan said looking down. He suddenly felt a hand behind his head and before he could react, his head was buried in someone's chest. "If that's the case, you shouldn't look down" Shen Qingqiu said.

If anyone was to look at Shen Qingqiu right now, he could swear that he would kill them. But on the other side, Shen Qingqiu felt relieved that the brat in his arms was not trembling anymore.

"What? Just like this? I didn't even do anything"

Shen Yuan was wondering how he'd completed the mission when he suddenly felt a bit sleepy. Who wouldn't feel sleepy when you're comfortably sitting in someone's arms and riding in the middle of the sky ? The little Shen dozed off and fell into a deep slumber.
