! self-harm, mentions of SA!
I blink open my eyes and groan at the sting of the bite on the shoulder I'm somehow laying on.
I still feel freezing despite the warmth of the covers laid on top of me.
I take a deep breath and quickly sit up, wincing at the pain in my abdomen. I look around me, and yet again glance at a note.
I lean over and grab the note admiring the handwriting.
"I left some ibuprofen and water for you, if you're hungry Syn made pancakes. If not, feel free to continue resting or explore the house if you'd like. :)"
I notice the familiar smiley face from the other note and mimic its expression despite the heaviness on my chest.
It's then I see the glass of water and small pill laying next to the note. I immediately get intense anxiety and my palms get sweaty at the reminder of that night.
I skip the offer on the note and slowly get up, ignoring the pain in my body I walk to the door leading to the hallway and open it, before walking out and following the trail Theo carried me on.
I eventually get to the kitchen after walking down the stairs, I'm quite out of breath.
I hear footsteps behind me and quickly turn around, "I thought Theo didn't want you walking around?" Syn asked. His voice scaring the hell out of me.
It's so low and alluring but dark and eerie.
I shrugged and slowly stepped away.
Syn didn't seem to be the type to want to be talked to or to talk either. So I simply gave him his space and left to explore the house, before his voice stopped me in my tracks.
"Before you go, Silas said he needs a list of things you need from the store. He and I are going to the store." He informed me.
I turns around to face him but didn't meet his eyes. "U-um it's-" my voice sounded dry from waking up so I cleared my throat before speaking again.
"It's alright, you don't need to spend any money on me." I kindly declined his offer,
Because, number one, I literally just met them out of nowhere and now I'm sleeping in their house, number two, out of all people I'm the last person you should spend money on.
He scoffed "I wasn't offering I was telling you, so..." he said rudely, before noticing the unshed tears in my eyes. "I need you to fill this out for me, darling... please" He added at the last second sounding much softer.
He held out a small ringed notebook with a pen inside the rings, for the first time I looked into his eyes before speaking. "Okay, I'll give it back to you when I'm done, thank you," I said quietly before taking the notepad from him.
I walk over to the island counter and sit on one of the stools, I set the notebook down and ignored the feeling of a set of eyes staring at me.
I slid the pen out of the rings, I just noticed the cover of the notebook and giggled for the first time in what seemed like months.
