Ziad woke up to Bast nudging his face with her paws yet again, and as usual, Ziad says good morning to her and strokes her fur.
Ziad went down to the Common Room to see Harry and Max talking to each other, which makes him smirk.
Ziad: Morning, Harry. Morning, Max.
Harry & Max: Morning, Ziad.
Harry: I'm just about to make my way to the Quidditch pitch for practice with Wood. You two want to tag along?
Ziad & Max: (smile) Sure thing.
The three make their way to the Quidditch to meet Wood, who's taking out a trunk.
Oliver: Hello, Harry! (turns to Ziad and nods his head) Keera. (turns to Max) Who's this you've brought along with you?
Max: (puts her hand out) Max Reilly, pleasure to meet you.
Oliver: (shakes her hand) Pleasure. Max?
Ziad: Short for Maxine, just don't call her that.
Oliver: I'll keep that in mind.
Harry: They're Gryffindors like us. They wanted to see what Quidditch is really about.
Oliver: (turns to Ziad & Max) Muggleborns?
Ziad: No, I'm a half-blood. (gestures to Max) She's a Muggleborn.
Oliver: (smiles) Well, always happy to introduce people to the great game of Quidditch.
Ziad and Max walk to the bleachers to give Harry and Oliver some space. Oliver explained the rules of the game to Harry.
Oliver: There are 7 players on each team. 3 Chasers, 2 Beaters, a Keeper, and a Seeker. (takes out a red ball) This is a Quaffle. That's the ball that Chasers pay their attention to. Every time a Chaser throws the Quaffle into one of those hoops, they score 10 points for their team. The Keeper, (gestures to himself) That's me, defends the hoops.
Oliver then puts the Quaffle on the ground and takes out two bats and gives one to Harry.
Oliver: Keera, come down here for a second!
Ziad, confused, joins Harry and Oliver on the pitch.
Oliver: (hands Ziad a bat) You're going to need this.
Ziad takes the bat as Oliver pulled out another ball, which growled and flew off into the air.
Oliver: Careful, you two, it's coming back!
The ball flies towards the three, and then Ziad hits it away with the bat.
Oliver: Wow, Keera, you'd make a decent Beater.
Ziad: Thanks.
The ball flew back toward them, but Oliver manages to catch it and puts it back in the trunk.
Harry: What was that?
Oliver: Bludger. Nasty little bugger. But you are the Seeker, Harry, and the only thing I want you to worry about is this.
Oliver takes out a golden, walnut-sized ball which suddenly grows wings.
