Max's birthday arrived.
Ziad woke up with Harry and Ron as they left the dormitory. They are joined by Hermione as they enter the Common Room.
They find Max on the couch in front of the fireplace stoking her cat, Anakin.
Ziad smirks as he turns to Harry, Ron, and Hermione and put his index finger vertically in front of his lips, telling them to be quiet.
Ziad tiptoes as he pulls out an air horn and puts it next to her ear and...
HOOOOONK!
Max screams, gets up, and punches Ziad in the jaw, sending him to the floor.
Max: OH MY GOD, I'M SO SORRY!
Ziad: It's alright, I kind of deserve that.
Hermione and Max help Ziad to his feet as he rubs his jaw.
Ziad: It was a good punch, though, I'll give you that.
Max: (chuckles) Dumbass.
Hermione: Happy birthday, Max.
Hermione gave her a journal with her name embroidered on the cover.
Max: Thank you, Hermione.
Hermione: Your welcome
Ron gave her a bunch of magic sweets.
Harry gave her a copy of Quidditch Through the Ages.
Harry: Just thought you might be interested in the sport.
Max: I like it. Thanks, Harry.
Ziad gave her a leather bracelet with a phrase stitched on it.
"Always my friend, till the end of time."
Max smiles as she wraps Ziad in a tight hug, which he reciprocates.
Max: Thank you so much!
Ziad: Don't mention it.
Then the quintet went to their classes and continued looking in the library for anything they can find on Nicholas Flamel.
No luck.

It was Ziad's birthday.
He woke up before everyone else and sat in the Common Room reading a Transfiguration textbook.
Then suddenly his eyes were covered by someone's hand.
???: Guess who?
Ziad smirked as he recognized the voice.
Ziad: I'd recognize that sweet voice of yours anywhere, Mione.
Ziad realized what he said and blushed furiously. He turned around to see Hermione, who was blushing just as much as he was, if not more.
Hermione: T-Thank you, Ziad.
Awkward silence
Hermione: I-I like y-your voice, too.
The awkward silence somehow got even more awkward.
Ziad: You want to...uhhh...read w-with me?
Hermione: (smiles) Yeah, I'd l-like that.
