Hi guys!

Trigger Warning: Blood

Let's get on with the story!

Rachel's Pov:

I clashed against the first guy, easily disarmed him and kicked him in the chest, making him fall down.

I went against someone else and ducked his first attack, doing a counterattack and knocking him unconscious.

I breathed hard and rolled to the side, dodging an arrow, and hitting a guy in the neck with the flat of my sword, making him faint.

I saw a shadow and looked in it's direction. I saw something that horrified me and left me paralyzed.

It was Octavian, being dragged by his father into the woods. His shirt was bleeding heavily, which probably meant his bandages had come off.

I saw the sword coming down to me when it was to late. I raised a hand up to protect myself but the sword never came.

I looked up and saw something I was not expecting.

A crystal staff.

And at the end of that staff was its owner.

Felix.

"Felix?" I asked confused.

He moved his staff and froze the attacker. He then looked at me.

"Go," He said and smiled. "I'll handle this."

"Thank you for coming Felix, and thank you for helping me." He smiled. "Yeah, I wasn't expecting to do this but someone payed me a visit." He said. "Now go!"

I smiled and nodded, running into the woods.

Running to Octavian.
............................................................................................................

I found him slumped against a tree, almost unconscious. I ran to him, "Octavian!" I tried shaking him but he didn't move.

"Hey,hey, Octavian." I grabbed his face and his eyes opened slowly, terror filling them. He started struggling against my arms but I held him tighter and he made a noise of pain and stopped.

"Hey," I said and made him look at me."It's me Octavian, it's Rachel."

He looked at me with widened eyes and then pressed his face to my shoulder. I felt my shirt getting soaked and I realised he was crying. I hugged him tightly and he started sobbing.

"I'm sorry Rachel, oh gods I'm so sorry." He said sobbing.

I combed through his hair to calm him down and he slowly started relaxing.

He looked up at me and I realised he had a red mark on his cheek with the shape of a hand. I touched his face and he flinched from my touch and looked away.

"Don't," He said with a hoarse voice. "I don't deserve you, I never have."

"Octavian." I said, "Look at me."

He didn't move, so I grabbed his face and turned it to face mine and our eyes met.

"You deserve every bit of me, you being like this is not going to change it.This?" I said touching his red cheek. "This is a mark of a fighter, of a warrior. And nothing is going to change that."

He looked at me and got closer.

I closed my eyes slowly and I started closing in, our lips inches apart.

Swing.

Hit.

Drop.

I looked at Octavian and he looked at me in horror and that's when I felt it.
