A week later...
" I won!" Yelled Rachel, looking at Octavian. "You tripped me! That's cheating!" He said as he caught up to her. She just stuck her tongue out at him, which then Octavian answered by sticking his tongue out, which then was answered by Rachel jumping on top of Octavian, which then... (Oh whatever, the point is they ended laughing on the floor.) They were just laughing, and laughing and laughing. Then Rachel turned towards him. "So, although we've been best friends for a week, I've never asked, Why do you cut teddybears?" Octavian laughed at the question. "Well, I do it because it's better than cutting up real animals and reading their entrails. Rachel made a disgusted face. "Sprouting green mist is not the only way I can see the future, sometimes when I paint, I zone out and draw things that I have never seen." Rachel said. "At least we don't need to make new prophecies anymore." Octavian says.
And just then, Rachel's head falls, her eyes turn green and mist starts coming out of her mouth.
When family clashes
And blood is judged
It will be love or hate
That will decide the fate of the upcoming war
Where the seven shall go,
The readers of fate will follow
And where blood is shed
The blood of a reader will fall
To do justice or punish
All worlds
Then Rachel slumped down, unconscious.
Octavian, for the first time in years, was genuinely afraid. He picked Rachel up and ran towards the Big House.
When he got there, he opened the door to find everyone (The seven and Reyna) sitting around the table chatting and laughing. When everyone saw him with Rachel, they ran to help him carry he to the couch. "What happened?" Jason asked, after the put Rachel in the couch. Octavian sat down and put his head in his hands. "She's just predicted another prophecy." Everyone gasped. "Can't we have one moment of peace?" Leo Valdez said.
Octavian sighed.
I don't think there's such a as peace.
