You guys like me and hate me. It's impressive. How do you do that at the same time?

Let's get on with the story!

Rachel's Pov:

"This doesn't make sense, why would my father be targeting me if I have nothing to do with the crystal set?" Octavian said.

"How am I supposed to know?" Red said and turned to me. "We need to get you to safety, Lorian might be after you."

"You take all of us with you, if not, I'm not going." I said and crossed my arms. She glared at me then sighed. "Fine, but if she gets angry at me it's your fault!" She said. Hazel smiled.

"Don't worry we won't be any trouble." She said. We slept at the house that day and at morning, we headed out.

It was already night when we stopped in front of two twisted trees.

"Crystal spes est hic." She said. A pale blue bright light apeared in the middle of the two twisted trees.

"What did you say?" Octavian asked. Red grinned.

"The crystal hope is here." She entered to portal. I followed, closing my eyes as I entered the portal.

When I opened my eyes, I found a crystal castle in front of me. It was huge and beautiful. I followed Red, who said the sentence in Latin again and the huge doors opened. There was some beautiful gardens in front of us, all filled with white and red roses and bright green grass. A person wearing a green cloak appeared in front of us, like, literally just appeared from nowhere. "What took you so long?" The person asked Red. The he saw us and took his hood of. He was a boy of about Red's age, with brown hair and brown eyes. He had a crystal shield in his back.

"You're a guardian." I said. He grinned. "Yep, you may recognise me as Robin Hood, just, you know, much younger." My mouth fell open.

"You're Robin Hood?" I said. "Yep, just that I didn't have good aim with my bow, just a blessing from my dad."

"Your dad?" Octavian asked. "Yep, my dad, Apollo." He said. I flinched but he didn't seem to notice. "Mitchell here," said Red. "Didn't get any of his dad's powers, but he can materialize and dematerialize, just like the gods." Hazel looked at him, as if interesed in his powers.

"I've got power over the mist, so we've both got cool powers." She said and Mitchell grinned yet again.

"Come on," he said. "Come and meet the ninth."

We entered the great hall, where, in a throne, sat a nine year old child. She had white hair and clear blue eyes. She beckoned me foward and I walked towards her. I noticed she was wearing the crystal tiara made from one of her sisters hearts.

"Rachel Elizabeth Dare, you have been chosen by the sword to be my guardian, and I will give you your inmortality as a guardian. Anything you need to say?" Her voice seemed older, more mature, and very divine-feeling.

"I don't want to be inmortal." I said. I heard a facepalm behind me, probably Red.

"Why not?"

"Because Octavian won't be inmortal, and I can't live without him." I said.

The ninth stared at me and I started to feel uncomfortable.

"You do know he is a child of Lorian?" She asked and I nodded.

She looked at me curiously now.

"What were you doing when Red found you?"

"I was going on a quest with Octavian and Hazel." I said.
