When he did finally find the cave, it was already dark.
The cave was draped with a purple curtain that was covered in splotches of paint, just like Rachels clothes always were. He heard nothing inside and he thought that Rachel had gone out, until he heard a soft rasping as if someone was moving a canvas. Octavian took a breath and entered.
And there, standing with her back turned to him, was Rachel.
Octavian didn't talk, he just watched her. He had no words coming out of his mouth,as if he'd suddenly become mute. He opened his mouth to speak and just at that moment Rachel turned to put paint on her brush. A soon as she saw him she dropped her brush and started backing away slowly.
"Leave me alone, just leave me alone." she said, fear visibly in her voice. Octavian put his hands up,in a sign of surrender and said, "I came here to say sorry for what I did to you, I was just scared that someone new what was my secret, the reason why I don't like, why I hate greeks. You were just trying to help." After that emotional apology, Rachel sat down and looked down. When she didn't say anything, Octavian sat down beside her and said, "I'm sorry, do you want to hit me? I wouldn't mind, I deserve it." But Rachel, instead of hitting him, she hugged him.(She hugged him. I mean, who would ever want to hug Octavian?)
He was surprised, but quickly regained his senses and hugged her back. And, without thinking, kissed her head. Rachel looks up in surprise at Octavian, who is "blushing" (more like turning into a tomato.) "Sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"It's alright," said Rachel. "But let's start by being friends k'ay?" And Octavian nodded.
"Thank you Rachel. For forgiving me, I mean." Octavian said. She nodded and left him alone in the cave. (Probably to get away from his snobiness :-P)
He smiled. This is going to be fun.
